Is EQS free charging transferable

GLC EQB GLS C300 convertible
I bought a 1.5 year old CPO EQS, the dealer checked the Mercedes Me app associated with this car today and it's active.
I used to always plug and charge the loaner EQS's, but today, my car didn't free charge and EA asked me for credit card...
I called EA they told me to go from MB navigation, but the navigation didn't find the EA location... (previous loaners didn't find location either but they charged)
What shall I do? Maybe the previous owner activated the MB ME app but never used the EA? Should I download the MB ME app? I don't want to mess up the account though... 90% of the forum user got the free charging balance transferred but some mentioned it's not transferable?

2023 EQS SUV 450 4Matic
I just purchased a used 2023 EQS 450 4Matic SUV from a Lexus dealership, and of course they had no clue whether the free charging continued. I searched the web and *most* posts seemed to indicate that it didn't transfer, but on a road trip this past weekend to Atlanta (first time fast charging) I discovered that it does in fact seem to be tied to the car. Good news for me since I have about 6 months left of free charging at EA! Charged multiple times at different EA chargers over the weekend and all went smoothly. Plug and Charge worked seamlessly, and all were zero cost except the first one where I went 3-4 minutes beyond the 30 minute free window which cost me like $2. I did not have to contact MB except right when we purchased the car to have them remove the old owner from the VIN so that I could register the car to me in the MB app. I also bought a A2Z NACS to CCS1 adaptor but haven't tried it yet since EA is free.

I went overtime as well I don't even know who they charged...

We have a CC on our MB App which it falls back to when you go over the 30 minute limit. Since it's plug and charge you need that activated on your account I assume... not really sure because we had already added a CC to our account.
