Interesting. How old is the car from production date and how many miles? All my MB’s flash the service icon once a calendar year whether I have driven a few miles or a lot. On the ESQ one wonders what is to be serviced other than tires, brakes, windshield wipers etc.

This is not about car maintenance service but some Mercedes Me update. Could be just a maps update. Recently I got this "News Flash" added.
A bit confusing and mysterious though, does not tell which of the cars in your family it refers to, not to mention any detailed description about the update.

VIN is …3977. I took possession Dec 27, 21. Mileage is 2,456.

Yes, I get these periodically. Most times I think it's just something they updated on the back-end, but doesn't directly affect the services. Most recent one I got this month when my 3-year trial expired and my renewal kicked in. I didn't renew remote start, so that service dropped off. Some of the services also appear to have gone away or are going away. Used to see fuel prices on the map, but that service can't be renewed, so the list of services has shrunk a bit. Geofencing has been coming soon for years. This service was there in 2019, but then when they revamped the app and website in 2020 or so it went away and has been coming soon ever since. I still have a couple of geofences setup from before and they keep working, but I can't edit them or create new ones for now.
