Hi,
Just received new EQS 580. Got connected to data plan in the car thru provider. Internet is working.
Mbux Hotspot is activated and I can connect thru QR code with my phone to the Mbux HotSpot. But when connected to Hotspot I get message on my phone that the wifi is connected, but without internet access.
How can I fix this?
Many thanks in advance for any help resolving this issue.

Hi,
I have the exact same problem in my 2022 S580. I took delivery of the new vehicle in July and have paid the monthly data plan fee ever since and still have not been able to get internet access. I have called Mercedes Me Connect, MBUSA, Deutsche Telekom and taken the vehicle to the dealer. No one seems to have an answer and each party seems to blame the other for the issue. My vehicle does show a 4G connection on the MBUX center console screen. Also, the web browser that is built into MBUX as an app works fine and is able to navigate the web. My vehicle came with TuneIn radio loaded into the MBUX as an app and that also works--music streaming works well for almost all stations. Considering all of this together leads me to believe that the problem with the hot spot internet access is a software problem.
I have read in another forum on this site that taking the vehicle to a dealer and having the MBUX operating system "re-flashed" will fix the problem. I have been waiting on this as there is supposed to be an MBUX operating system update out this quarter (Q42022), and I have other issues to be addressed.
These other issues include: (1) the GPS route guidance intermittently turning itself off before a destination has been reached; (2) the voice welcome from the MBUX system only working intermittently; (3) the Interior Assistant not being available at all in the MBUX menu (although this could be because I chose the gray and black interior); and (4) the front warning chimes for Park Assistance, fasten seat belt, door ajar, etc. occasionally change their tone and and emit a buzzing sound as if a speaker is broken.
My recommendation is for you to fully investigate whether all of your MBUX features are working properly. And then take your vehicle into a dealer to have everything addressed at once. Hopefully, by then the new MBUX operating system will available and you can have it flashed at that time.
