EQS 580
Mercedes Me Connect App

I am having difficulty using the Mercedes Me Connect app with my 2023 EQS580 sedan. I have the app installed on a iPhone 14 pro max running the latest 16.2 version of IOS. It seems the app only updates or connects to the car when the car is "on". When at a charging station, it doesn't update with the current charge status. Any suggestions regarding setting it up or use?

I have the exact same set up: 23 EQS 580 sedan with iPhone 14 pro max, 16.2. My app works fine, I was charging my car at home last night and was getting constant updates. Sorry, can’t help but at least you know someone with the same set up it works fine.

Me, too. Sorry yours is not working. I occasionally have a 4-5 hour period where nothing works and even the live traffic is not displayed in the car, then it begins to all work again. But mostly, everything works great.

Most often issues with the app not updating are due to temporary connectivity issues. Maybe the car doesn't have a good signal where it is or your phone. iPhones sometimes don't smoothly transition from Wi-Fi to Cellular and then loose connectivity. It seems to be a reoccurring issue especially every time there is a major update to iOS. It doesn't happen often and performing a network reset on the phone generally clears things up, but occasionally I have to temporary activate airplane mode and then turn it off again so that the phone establishes a fresh connection. That usually clears up what was causing the connectivity issues.

Thanks Superswiss. I'll try resetting the iphone network to see if that helps.
