Heater not functioning

I turned my Pre Entry Climate Control app on 10minutes before I leave, but when I got in the car this time it was cold. there was no heat and the fan was barely running no matter how high I toggled the temp scroll. I put it on Defrost and the fan volume sounded normal but no heat just cold air was being pumped. I've tried over the last 3 days but no difference. The seat warmers function normally, thank God! waiting. the Service Dept can't get me in until Jan 3 UGH!

The fan does have it's own toggle, to adjust the algorithm for how hard it blows. Instead of just raising the temp, try raising the intensity of the fan itself by touching the fan symbol on the right side, it has like five levels. Also, if your AC system is not set to Auto, I have found that to be the most efficient setting. Hope this helps.

I thought in pre-entry climate control mode the HVAC fan was always working at a fixed speed, just like it works on older cars with fuel burning AUX heaters. Still strange if the electric heater had no influence to the cabin temperature.

Yes, I also separately adjusted the fan speed manually, as well as letting Mercedes Me adjust the heat up but to no avail.
Diesel Benz. I always go to the Mercedes app and "activate" it for my desired levels.

The EV is different from the hybrid then if you can adjust the HVAC fan speed for pre-entry air conditioning. The on-line EQS manual does not describe this option (from the car or the app) but it must be there if you say so. On the hybrid the fan speed is fixed even if one sets it manually to any speed when the car is "on".

I don't use the preconditioning. I might ask that you try not using it, just get in the car, turn it on, set the temp and fan, turn on Auto, and see what happens. If that doesn't work, the heater is definitely malfunctioning. In that situation, mine produces almost instant heat, and the battery tanks at the same time!

Yes, I just tried starting heating without the preconditioner, turned on Auto, but no luck. It just barely blows air and it is defiantly cold air.
I'm scheduled for a Jan 5 service. I Appreciate everyone's thoughts!

Follow up: Right after Mercedes pulled the Holiday graphics everything went back to normal. the passenger screen with the compass/elevation displays came back, and more importantly my heater once again functioned properly, with or without the use of Pre Conditioning.
All is good that ends well.

Wow.....that's crazy, and scary! I like the Holiday decorations, but now worry about them causing glitches. Is there a way to decline them?

You can turn them off but I have no idea if that stops the EQS from still receiving updates on the decorations in the background.

If you just take ten minutes and go through all the options/screens you will find out what you can adjust in the EQS to suit you….
