MBUX issues with 2013 EQS 580 Pinnacle - anyone seeing this?

MBUX issues with 2013 EQS 580 Pinnacle - anyone seeing this?
Took delivery on the 2023 580 SUV Pinnacle in early Dec and noticed rear displays went dark and unresponsive after a couple of weeks. Shortly after front passenger display went dark and unresponsive. The night before taking to dealer, the interior lights changed colors three different times to three different colors without any input. Took vehicle to dealer and waited for a software update which didn’t work. Now going on three weeks and dealer still has it. They are saying “software issues” which has been escalated to Germany and now India - software engineering. Has anyone encountered?

Many of us have had a glitch or two with MBUX. Mine was fixed by a software update, and the latest update was supposed to address these and other issues. Hopefully they will be able to fix your car. If not, yes, the lemon laws or try to negotiate a buyback.

Right, one just might assume that a MY 2023 EQS would already have the currently latest MBUX SW. Posting the SW release data would always be useful when bugs are discussed.

when I picked up my 23 580 sedan on Dec 10 it had the latest software. 2 weeks later I found out thru this forum a new version was released (329). Dealer was hesitant at first to update me because I wasn’t having any “issues”, but did the update without charge or hassle. Dealer said I was first one to alert them an update was available. When it comes to updates and Mercedes I wouldn’t assume anything.

Agree with you knowing the current software version however dealer indicated something minor and I didn’t look at the current rev on the software. I’ll ask them tomorrow to provide the software load and will post on this thread. The mobile app shows the software was updated on 1/12/2023 but doesn’t provide a version number. Dealer indicated issues were significant enough for Germany engineering to escalate to India software engineering.

Update
The app refers to OTA updates, it does not show MBUX updates as those are not handled over the air. I would not ask the dealer but read the SW release from the car myself to be sure. You can find screen shots of the menus from this forum if it appears to be difficult to find the correct MBUX menu.
