I have it too on my 23 sedan. It works both with the eq button on the console and the screen.

It does it. I just don't have an off/on option. If I put a DC fast charger on the nav as a destination it simply does it. It tells me when its preconditioning but I dont have an option cancel it.
I have the very first version of the software.

This gets back to my point, MB does not make their software backwards compatible. My guess is that is because the software is fixed to specific hardware configurations - and with the next model year, or even throughout the same model year, they modify the configuration, especially with the chip shortage, locking you into a particular version. Or, they are just do not have the resources to test software with old hardware versions. This is legacy auto manufacturer thinking. I just love the car so damned much, though.

Do you mean you do not have the menu option to switch battery heating on or off? I thought the EQS had this actual feature even if this new menu was missing, one just needs to have navigation destination set to a fast charging point?

I got the latest for my '22 450+ back in December, v403. But that was after months of my service center telling me there was no new firmware. They only updated it because the car refused to power on.

Latest '22 450+ firmware as of early December '22.

Having looked at the other versions people have posted in the past, it seemed like the Exxx was more an indicator of the model/trim/hardware revision, what followed after that was the version of the firmware.

Not so sure of that. One member of the forum with a 22 450+ went from version E250.xxx to version E329.xxx. I went from E316.xxx to E329.xxx and I have a 23 580 sedan.

Are you saying you got your car updated to E25.403xxx back in December '22? My car had an MBUX update summer 2022 and got E316 already at that time! As Radman911 says, since then another update has been released. And these cars all seem to have the same MBUX release, EQS including the SUV, EQE including EQE SUV and W223!
