Got my EQS with one of those stupid cheap leases. Didn't need the car but heck why not lol

I plan on lowering it but haven't seen any pics? I see Ghost Motorsports sells them but again, no pics?

Getting it done Thursday. Will let you know how it goes. My main goal is to lower to a point till rode quality isn't diminished.

Also got it on the lease deal. Definitely didn't need a 5th car but couldn't pass it up lol

Absolutely no reason to lower a car that already scrapes on speed bumps at low speeds. Most here would like to raise it when needed. On sport it lowers about an inch anyway. So all you have to do is drive it on individual with the suspension on sport all the time.

Holy smokes, scape central?

I am scraping either the underbody cover or the little mudguard flaps in the front multiple times a day on relatively flat ground. 450+ on 20" stock wheels.

It is a bit mind-boggling that MB USA is not enabling the raising suspension feature.

Maybe this will lead to some porpoising action ala F1 Mercedes.

Damn this is nice! I think a bit too low for me. I might do 1.5 finger gap all around with 21" wheels. Are you scraping?

Just curious...what was your motivation to lower an already low car? Will you have to undo when you do the lease turn in?

Seriously.....still trying to figure out why one would lower an EQS. I was so happy when I traded my M550, to have a car with a little more clearance.

My guess is that this is a younger generation phenomenon. I would never lower my EQS580.

It's just for looks - which apparently is what some prefer.
Like tinting the headlights which makes it harder to see at night - doesn't make sense but some do it for looks.

The car looks amazing, congrats ! Did you install the links how they come from Ghost or did you make extra turns before installation?

Shalom Rabbi,

I picked up my black on black 580 sedan (also couldn’t resist the deals even though I didn’t need another car) and already made an appointment to go into Ghost tomorrow to check out their links. I had links on my 2015 S63 and they made a world of a difference in the looks. I live just 5 minutes from them. To me, a MUST for this car car:

lowering links (with no finger gaps)
spacers
Chrome delete (all the chrome ruins this car)
debadge all emblems including the silly EQS next to the side mirrors
And some nice dark tint

pretty much murdered out look.

Do you by chance have the following information?

1) Length (center-to-center) of the new front and rear links?
2) Amount in millimeters that the front and rear were lowered?
3) Front and rear negative camber degrees after lowering?

I made some links for my EQS SUV but have not installed then yet.

I couldn’t disagree more. These cars if not lowered look weird. After you lower them with links and add the proper spacers front and back the cars it’s transformed to a much desirable machine, it turns heads all the time and once you see one rolling by you on the highway you won’t forget. And no, the vehicle does not scrape at all.

I'm definitely too old for this thread. And I have no idea what "murdered out" looks like. Your car looks fantastic, but I love mine more, and wish I could raise it, at least for getting out after walking 18 holes! YMMV.

I am still waiting message from Brabus about their lowering module. It seems that they don't want to sell it without whole car - even it is listed on web. No any messages, not me or brabus's resale distributor where I asked that module too. Anyway, next spring need to do something, maybe with those dummy links..

I’m definitely in that school as well. I think it looks great the way it is. It’s low enough. I have zero desire to lower the car. I wish I could raise it at certain times.

Is this a 450 and 22s? I put 22s on this past weekend and lost 100 miles on my range! I went with EV tires also!

The poster stated "i’m lowered. ‘23 EQS AMG lowered & spacers."
Those are stock wheels for the EQS AMG which already has a reduced range.
What wheels did you put on?

Non aero wheels on the SUV, I am not surprised at the loss at all.
I hope more after market wheel manufacturers wake up and start making good looking aero wheels.

Yeah I thought the weight difference from HRE would have help but no. HRE weighs about 7lbs lighter than OEM
