Apple CarPlay

Greetings,
How do I set up Apple CarPlay? Couldn't find any thread for EQS, using the Search.
Thanks in advance.

Update: Able to connect the iPhone to the car via Blutooth, but no icon for Apple CarPlay.
Must be missing some steps in the setup and have watched the Youtube posted in this thread a few times.

Is the Wifi on? Make sure it has not been switched off. CarPlay setup is done through bluetooth, but actual connection uses Wifi.
Also check Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions; default is off.
If by chance it has been turned on, choose Allowed Apps, enable CarPlay.

EQS 580
When you add a new phone to the car it asks whether you want to enable CarPlay on it. You have to complete the setup on the phone.

The CarPlay connection issue popped up for me after one of the iOS 16.x patches.

The fix for me was:
1) Manually join the MBUX ##### Wi-Fi network.
2) Click the information circle for the MBUX ##### connection.
3) Set Auto-Join to "ON" (if was off).

CarPlay has been 100% reliable after making this change.

You shouldn't need to do this.
I am glad it works out well for you, but this is not a normal procedure for getting or maintaining a CarPlay connection.
Doing this in a BMW for example, would result in a non-functional CarPlay connection.

Thanks for all the replies.
Turned out on the MBUX, there's a wheel button next to the phone number. The dealership IT person just clicked on it and the button to accept CarPlay came on.
After that button was selected, Apple CarPlay started.
On a separate note, I was at the dealership today because there was a yellow warning that the coolant level was low. Was told that yellow was still ok. Red would have meant more serious problem.
The car needed about 10 quarts, though.

I'm having trouble understanding how a response like "yellow is ok" can be considered "ok" at all. What year is your EQS? No matter what your answer is, it seems like an EQS should not need 10 quarts of cooling fluid this early in the game. I would still want my dealer to be looking for the root cause!
(I confess, I do not know what "normal" is for coolant usage, but 10 quarts seems like a lot, to me)

My bad. I meant 1 quartz of added coolant.
There are 2 reservoirs under the hood. Yes, 2. They both were low, one more than the other.
When I asked if I'd need to bring the car in right away, the service advisor asked what color the warning was.
He then said I could continue to drive with the yellow warning and make an appt to bring it in, implying not an urgent issue, as opposed to the same warning with red color.
My EQS is 2022.
