Heater weak

Came from 19 S450 to 23 EQS 450+.
It was a bit chilly last night in LA
49 degrees. I turned my heater on for the first time full max and I get a warm air not hot air I expected from S450 and other ICE cars.

Is this normal?

It does not blow super hot but it warms up immediately. If it felt real week, make sure its not on eco mode.

The SOC was at 90% no eco mode or anything like that tried all the settings but wasn't getting any hot air. The maximum I got was warm air.

Update: I called the dealer, and they said the heater should feel pretty hot. They told me they have seen a decent amount of failure on the heater with the EQS.
I think mine initially came with the faulty heater because it only has 300 miles, and I picked it up with 12 miles on the odometer.
They ordered a new heater for me but the part is on back order. Will update when they get it replaced.

Indeed heater failures have been a problem.
we have heard about some in the forum.

My neighbor's Taycan 4s had to get a heater replaced too. It seems to be a weak point for EVs in general.
Thankfully I live in L.A., where heater usage is minimal.

Update: Did a quick experiment; I turned on max heat when I plugged in my home charger, and the heater comes out really hot but when I unplug it, the car does that warm air thing again.

So hardware-wise, the heater is fine I think it's a software problem.

Sounds like its tunning on eco mode! Try cycling through the modes! It happened to me once. But after the next strat up it was fine.
