Update: I opened the hood, remove the 4 T20 hex screens that holds the light bar in place. There still doesn't seemed to be enough room to study what clips to remove the logo star. But I think that with a long flat head, one might be able to click on a couple of clips and counterclockwise twist the logo for removal. I don't think removing the grille is necessary in my case, but if I could do it without too much more screws to undo, the grille removal would give me much room and flexibility. However, it looks like the grille removal is much more extensive. I have to do more studying so not to break anything or disassemble more than I need to.

you should just turn counterclockwise to remove the star logo round plate. YouTube has lots of example. just turn and it comes off

Actually, those grille are not the flat logo grille. And for the flat ones, there are a couple of clips you have to push in to be able to counterclockwise turn the logo. I believe that is on the 22' GLS, but even with that one, the camera is not on the logo but below the logo. Perhaps I'm making this more complicated than what it really is. I even saw a video of the factory assembly of the logo grill on the EQS (basic clockwise twist), but that was for the SUV, and the camera is also below the logo on the EQS SUV. For the sedan, the camera is on the logo. But you know, sometimes you can easily twist to lock it in but to unlock, you may have to undo a couple of clips to break it free.

In any case, I spoke with a EQ collision center, and they quoted me $400 to install and calibrate. Typical calibration is around $280 to $300. So I assume the labor is about 30 minutes to replace and install the camera. I provide the camera part. I'm leaning toward the bend clips, and counterclockwise turn theory to remove the logo.

400 is cheap, let them do it.

MB collision service guy confirmed that on the EQS sedan, all you have to do is remove the logo/emblem to replace the camera. I have my car in for service, so I will just get them to do it.

I would like to update this thread with the logo removal. The collision advisor at Sewell MB (certified EQ collision) said there are a couple of clips that hold the Logo/camera in which can be accessed from the top assuming that you remove the light bar that's held in by 4 hex screws. The logo has about 10 inserts. Once the 2 clips are unclipped (probably with an angled flat head driver), the logo can simply be removed. He said no turning counterclockwise needed. That's how they replaced my front camera on the logo. $100 for labor, and $300 for calibration since I am replacing my cracked camera with a new one.

The dealership would have you pay $752 for an OEM camera. The same camera goes on other MB such as the S class and a few other surround cameras. I bought mine off of ebay for $126 shipped from Europe listed as new OEM. The seller sells other OEM parts, some used and some like new..

Beware of ebay listing for these camera since many are Chinese make knock offs listed as OEM or OEM compatibles. Ask the sellers before purchasing. Your mileage will vary, but I HIGHLY recommend getting the OEM one. Chinese made may not work, and it would be a waste of money for installation and not work upon calibration.

The OEM ones part number appears to be etched numbers and symbol while the cheap knock offs are printed. There are lots of them listed for ~$100. Beware. If you are patient, you will find used OEM. Just make sure it is refundable if it doesn't calibrate. Most of the used OEM come from parts of salvage cars I think.

Have you ever figure out the steps to remove the front bumper of the EQS SUV?

I am trying to remove light bar on the EQS SUV and already open the 4 screw on top. Light bar can slide back until hood lock pillar but can't moved up. Any idea how to remove it?
