How to turn on/off autohold?

Hi 2 QQ:
1. I assume autohold is activated when you apply the brake deep but it never did, tried to find in settings but nothing about autohold. Any I missing something obvious?
2. Braking from 25-0mph feels a bit non-linear, have to go deeper than I thought for a complete stop, from previous threads this is normal for eqs right?

thanks

When you first apply the brake pedal you are not braking you are activating the recuperation mode. Even in the “No Recuperation” mode you do some recuperating before the brakes are applied. In heavy recuperation the brake pedal moves towards the floor by itself somewhat before your foot finishes the job. It only took me 15 minutes initially to get used to this but now feels second nature to me.

Turning off creep made my EQE auto hold. Took me a while but I think I'm finally getting used to one pedal driving. Can't figure out why the minus paddle increases brake recoup and the + sign decreases it but anywho... I'm sure it made sense to someone.

I see, so the 1st "brake" is actually recuperation.

thanks! I played with the heavy and no recuperation modes once, switched back to normal and never touched them ever again

no creep mode is a little weird in reverse though so it's not exactly like auto hold in a gas car which only works in forward/drive.

I use “heavy” in stop and go slow traffic and “None” at faster highway speeds where one can coast more.

If you set your main drivers screen to the one pictured above you can watch when recuperation kicks in and how strong it is recuperating as you slow down.

If you’re at a stop and depress the brake pedal, hold will engage. It disengages when you depress the accelerator.

Of you’re using intelligent recuperation, you don’t need to hit hold because the car stops and holds by itself until you depress the accelerator to resume driving.
