MB chatGPT beta is probably based on chat v. 3.5 or below in which case it would be several years older than your nav system and so it might not be meant to feed into it.
The 4.0 version is current but it's still in trial so I don't think MB is using it. Since Chat cannot graphically give you a direction, it has to communicate with your Nav and that might not be its current functionality as we don't know the level if integration between MB and Microsoft.
All just a supposition though.
