MB doesn't bundle an L2 charger or even have one available to purchase and dealers have no idea how to get one installed in a house. As a result there is general fear around charging and so someone looking at an EV will typically default to Tesla since they are famous for their charging network.

though likely you will find a cheaper options if you get your own installers and chargers yourself.
But the option is right there for those who don't want to look elsewhere.

Had no idea about this page. My dealer never pointed me to this either. I had to find my own installer and bought my own charger and arranged the install and had to handle the rebates all by myself also.

I looked into the Mercedes recommendation for installation and found it was much more expensive than doing it on my own. I was able to purchase a ChargePoint flex with an instant $500 rebate thru a local power company. My installation was simple and my electrician charged me $250 to install it. So all told it cost me around $500 to have my home charger installed.

I had to have my electrician run a 240v line to my garage, with a NEMA plug. I, then, purchased the ChargePoint Homeflex through the MB site to get the discount (I think it cost me $350) and installed it myself, since it was just a plugin. It has been working flawlessly since. I was able to get the $7500 tax credit on last year's income tax......very nice. But, mostly, I just love the car and the fact that I'm not dumping hydrocarbons in the atmosphere to go play golf. YMMV.

Although for any of us eqs buyers, saying we got the car to be green is really not right for other reasons. this is not the car to buy if the goal is to be green as there are more efficient (lighter) cars in the market that doesn't have unnecessarily luxuries. And buying an EV to be green only works if the car you were replacing is old enough and that you didn't unnecessarily create a demand for a new vehicle.
