Remote Parking App will not authorize
I know this is not available in all geographies, but has anyone managed to get the Remote Parking App to authorize with the EQS using an Android phone? I have tried many times, but I cannot get the car to be added to my app on a Samsung S22 Ultra. First it was complaining about Android Auto possibly interfering, so I unpaired my phone from the car, reset my user profile (annoying). Whenever I try to add the car by scanning the QR code in settings, I just get a message saying vehicle authorization failed. In Mercedes Me, I can see I have this service available until July 2026.
Stumped!

For reference I am using a Google Pixel 5 with Android 13 and Mercedes Remote Parking app v. 4.0.1.
The EQS is spec'ed for the Swiss market and is running MBUX version RL_NTG7_E330.602_23063AC3 (the latest, as far as I know).
Things I tried:
- disabling Android Auto and Mercedes Me apps on the phone
- deleting data and cache for the Mercedes Remote Parking app
- deactivating Bluetooth on the phone while trying to authorize
- deactivating the car's wifi and bluetooth features while trying to authorize
I see that the car creates a new Wifi network while authorizing (distinct from the usual "MBUX <number>" SSID) but the phone never seems to even try to connect to it... Also, the phone crashed and rebooted a few times while the Remote Parking app retries so I suspect some bug in the way it is using Android WiFi stack.
Also, I managed to get my dad's iPhone successfully authorized at the first try so at least I can say that, from the car side, the system seems to be OK.
"Got a OTA update of MBUX to 2.4 and now the remote parking works again."
As of today, I have not seen OTA updates available for my car or app and I am not sure what the "2.4 version" refers to but I am keeping my fingers crossed...

I just checked again and, woohoo, it now worked and the EQS accepted the phone as authenticated. So make sure you have the latest version of the Android app (in markets where the Remote Parking feature is offered) and do try again...
