It appears that ACC with no navigation enabled will try to take every off ramp and right turn lane. However if NAV is enabled, the car seems to be rock solid.

is this a new advancement, or am I just that slow.

I had this problem in my S-Class but I have not had it at all with the EQS with the Nav guidance on or off.

I use cruise control every day going to and from the golf course, and never use Nav. I have not had this problem. I do have active steering turned off. Maybe try that?

Had this with one of my cars. I was driving on I-20 around Cisco, Texas and I came upon an exit that had a sign saying 45 mph exit. I was doing 75 mph. The car slowed down massivley and wanted to exit. Cured by removing the 'place' on the screen that recognized traffic signs. Problem gone. Frankly I forget if it was a Tesla S or the EQS or even the S560.
