EQS Recall + Service Campaign
Just got my EQS back from the dealer.
They kept it for a week. It was in for the battery malfunction, sunroof sometimes not opening, windows sometimes not opening and etc.
They did a massive update.
The car drives much better and the brake feel is very improved.
They replaced the window regulator but the sunroof was a software issue.
Also added two pillows on the back seat
This gave me a huge improvement on the EQS experience.
I hope people take it in for that big update. It is not OTA it needs to be done at the dealer.

The software updates will include, but are not limited to, increased system robustness, increased augmented reality camera quality, implementation of the Zync-App for video streaming via the head unit, and implementation of Dolby Atmos for an improved audio experience.
Here is info about the free pillows.

They had to be "installed"
They drove my car into their service bay, threw the pillows in the back, and drove it back to the front...
Why couldnt they just give the pillows to me or at least walk out to my car and throw them in the back seat? lol
I guess thats their way to ensure that they can officially charge MB for 1hr service. lol

I went to my dealer to pick up my free pillows. They said I could not "pick them up,"

Mostly a formality in this case.

are there any similar program for the EQE sedan? I’m in E316 software and my dealer wouldn’t take the vehicle in for software updates.

There is. Its an entire refresh for MBUX.. AND..... you get pillows for the rear seat....oooolala! The MBUX update seems a fully matured build. No little hiccups on startup nor glitches. Visually the initial flash screen is new, and the passenger screen savers are new. Functionally, you can turn the battery automatic preconditioning off (don't see the need for it) and there is additional info for and during the charging process. Nav seems enhanced, smarter and faster. Voice recognition also seems more adept. I'm sure there has been big changes that we just can't see. AND!!! as I posted previously, the EA plug and charge feature has been working flawlesslesly (3 times in a row)! When you touch the radio tile you get your favorites in the popup window instead of having to press again to open the radio screen fully. All in all I'm very satisfied with this latest build.

4 times plug and charge at EA. I can most definitely get used to this! Different chargers in different states too!
Mid pack charge at 30F, still getting 100kw.
Spoiled😍

I had this update performed at the dealer this week (campaign 2023070020). It updated the MBUX software to E445.001. Unfortunately Carplay will not work anymore. I deleted my iPhone from the MBUX and deleted the MBUX from my phone and went through the whole repairing process. I also reset the newtwork settings on the MBUX, which prompted another repairing. In each case, the phone appears and I'm prompted to start Carplay. The Carplay icon appears in the upper left corner but when I click on it I get a message saying Carplay is starting followed, eventually, by a message that Carplay could not start.
I've tried the entire process with two different phones.
In addition, the automatic lane change feature did not work when I picked the car up. But when I tried the car again later in the day it worked and seems to be continuing to work.

I'm incredibly confused now. My 2022 EQS 450+ has campaign 2023070020 done and MBUX is unchanged at RL_NTG7_E330.602_23063AC3. So what gives? Why are some cars getting the new software and some are not?!
All the more frustrating is the campaign bulletin has step-by-step instructions to press button to update "All control units". Images clearly showing 32 control units to be scanned for an update.

I just called my dealer and gave them my VIN. They said mine didn't have anything that needed to be done for it. I have an SUV, so I'm assuming for now this is only for the sedan.

Pretty sure you are right. Given that the SUVs are a later build. You are reaping the benefits of our "beta" versions. To MB's credit, they have been pretty good with addressing software issues that are to be expected in any totally new vehicle, nevermind utterly new platform. For example Toyota always thought that developing an electric platform would not be an engineering challenge, the results show how wrong they were. Though MB's first EV's are either competitive or class leading, Toyota's are utterly uncompetitive out of the gate. They are so bad they might have as well waited a generation rather than releasing the embarrassing BZ platform.
