Problem is all of Tesla's v3 chargers are 400V. EA's 350 kW chargrs are 800V. If you plug your 800V vehicle into a Supercharger you'll get less than 100 kW.

Oh, and this guy brought up another issue I didnt think about with the charging port location. The Tesla app has no way of knowing how a vehicle is parked so your navigation system may say chargers are available when they're really not.

Tesla has acknowledged the issue with the cable placement and has stated that all new chargers will have much longer cables and they will begin upgrading existing cables. The real question is - how long is this going to take to roll out? Hopefully not too long.

I am anxiously awaiting word on when Mercedes owners will be able to charge at a Tesla charger. Even after it is enabled, then the issue is waiting for an adapter. Several people in the Ford groups said they ordered their free adapter, but estimated delivery is in August. I wouldn't be that patient and would likely just buy one of the available adapters from Lectron.

I need an adapter that can spoof other vehicle IDs. Hopefully someone smart in China will make one that I can order on eBay.

To clarify, I meant I probably won't be patient once Mercedes and Tesla announce that we can start using superchargers. I know that they won't work for non-Ford vehicles yet. I'm guessing that the Mercedes lead times won't be much better than Ford. I'm crossing my fingers that they make the announcement by June.

If this is true, I suspect that Lectron is prioritizing shipments based upon your vehicle brand. I seem to recall indicating the EV type when I placed my order. I should have told Lectron that I was driving a Mach E.

It could have been mentioned and I missed it...
Has anyone heard of any plans to open up the Tesla network in Europe?

Mercedes is touting their own network, supposedly spending $1 billion in the near future in the US. As I mentioned in another thread, they have already partnered with Buccees in four states, and in Temple, Texas they already have a six station Mercedes supercharger available. Should be an interesting next 12 months to see how all this opens up options for us.

See the Benz chargers in volume happening in about 5-6 years at the very earliest.
They will always be playing catch-up to what Tesla does.

Maybe, but they are already catching up. And they don't need near as many chargers as Tesla. I'm very hopeful.....these six chargers have appeared in Temple in just the last few months. And, we now have Tesla magic dock chargers in DFW. And, Circle K is building a network. There is every reason to be optimistic about charging availability in the very near future.

Just a note on new Tesla chargers. There is a group being constructed near me (not finished) where the workers told my wife that they are superchargers. I stopped by today just to check on the comment about longer cables on new chargers, but realized that these are pull through chargers so the length of the cable doesn't matter. No idea if they will have majic docks or not but doubt it.

You were perfectly clear. I put my mouth in motion before my brain was in gear.

From what I'm understanding we can't use v4 or the older v2 chargers, just the v3 chargers. And by the time we get an adapter the 2025s with NACS ports will be hitting dealer lots. So this whole thing is turning into somewhat of a non-event for me. Too little, too late.

here in california just filtering the superchargers to "Superchargers Open to NACS" shows plenty of chargers available once Tesla and MB get their ducks in a row. Between EA, EVGO, and Superchargers, I'd be pretty comfortable doing socal to norcal via either the 99 or the 5 corridor.
