New over the software update

I did receive a new software update for wireless charging - not sure what will be changed after this ? Faster wireless charging possibly!?

2022 EQS 580 Pinnacle….I have not received any notification of over the air updates for the last six months….any thoughts?

Make sure your car is connected to your home internet and also check the “use for software update “ ..

It's pretty much all the message says. There was an issue with MagSafe that prevented wireless charging from working correctly.

how come ? Never had any issue with wireless charging !

Whew! I'm glad they fixed a problem nobody was having! That's some good thinking right there. Unfortunately I don't use their app and will never use their app. I don't even take my cell phone with me when leaving the house. I pay for stuff with evil cash.

Following the chain in Mercedes me "car icon at the bottom > OTA Vehicle Updates > Service Explanation > Installation in the vehicle" says that updates will be downloaded while you drive. There is no indication that it needs or uses your home internet. My car is never connected to my home internet and received notice of the update last Thursday, but it failed as my car was not turned off for long enough. Expect it to be downloaded again after my next medium length drive.

It's very likely this update that the dealers have been applying as part of service.

I got notification of this update when I got in my car this morning. Updated it later, no problems. Interestingly, my app never showed the update at all. Only was notified on the screen in the car.

I had the same experience with the OTA suspension update. Despite driving for over a week with the car notifying me of the update, it never showed up in the app till after I installed it. It continued to say I was up to date despite not installing the update. Go figure.

I never used the wireless charger but update the software because it pops up several times. Don't need to connect to the internet but you have to exit the car and lock the doors for it to do the update. Can't drive your car for 15 minutes.
