MBUX Interior Assistant keeps resetting to off?
Has anyone else encountered this or possibly knows a fix? Thanks in advance!
I haven't had issues with gestures toggling off in the settings, but there was a time when all of the gestures (sunroof, V sign, looking at mirror that needs adjusting, passenger map light when reaching over to seat) wouldn't work. In my situation, either they all worked, or they all didn't. This was during the first week of having the car, and I was getting lots of other errors, so the car went in for software updates. Since then, the gestures work as designed. Unfortunately the car is back in the shop for the third time because of bigger issues.
Hopefully they can apply a software update that will keep your assistant activated. Good luck!

They talk about "the motion sensor" while it all is about the interior assist.

1. Go to Settings
2. Choose System tab from the top menu.
3. Choose Intelligent Assistance (on the upper left)
4. In the main window on the right, scroll down to Interior Assistant (it’s not visible unless you scroll down). You’ll see a toggle to turn it on/off. It will probably be off (greyed out) since your gestures aren’t working.
5. Flip the toggle to On (it will be orange when on).
Just like that, your gestures will (hopefully) be back.
I haven’t been able to figure out what causes the Interior Assistant to switch off, but it does so randomly. Every time it happens, I follow the above steps, and everything is back the way it should be.
I hope this helps with your issue!

I think it was the first night I got the car that I remember the passenger light turning on when I reached over the seat with my hand, so I know it was working at some point. Now none of the gestures work except for the adjusting of the side view mirrors just by looking at the mirror I want to adjust.
Does anyone know if Mercedes disabled the cabin gestures for US models with an update?
