EQS 580 AUNONOMY
Hello,
After my first experience with an electric car, I'm looking for a respectable range that will allow me to drive without recharging every 200 km. When I look at the Mercedes EQS 580, the advertised range is 636 km. Of course this is not a real range and I would like to know if any users can tell me what they have found in real life.
Thank you for your answers.

I have a 2023 EQS580 SUV. The EPA range listed on the window sticker was 285miles. I am consistently getting 310-330 miles on a full charge - and I continuously use climate control and stereo, and consistently drive about 10mph over the speed limit. The only times I got less range was when the ambient temperature was below 20F - and even then my range exceeded the EPA estimates.

I've found that the stated 285 miles range is pretty accurate, if a bit low. Much closer than my earlier e-tron.

On long distance I use to recharge between 6-7% up to 52-55% which provides roughly 250km between recharges when temperature are in the 20-22 oC. Working the battery in this part of the charging curve allow you to benefit short stops for recharging (15-20 min.) while you can stretch, have someyto drink or anything else.
Charging from 10 to 80% as often recommended is no need for EQS. You can take advantage of reducing idle time recharging with EQS using only the battery in the portion of the curve that provides fastest charging speed. Using the car this way EQS is probably one if not the fastest car going from A to B.
Other specific of the car: Range is affected when temperature drop cause Mercedes manage the battery for durability so a lot of energy is used to maintain the battery at the right temperature when temperature drop.
