Tire recommendations for EQS 580 Sedan - Michelin vs Continental
I recently got the Pirelli Scorpion Zero A/S Plus - I really like them so far. Those ones don't have the pirelli noise cancelling feature layer inside but they are as quiet as the old conti's i had with the noise cancelling. Will see how the tread life is in a year.
I just put a set of Perelli Scorpion Zero All Season tires on my EQS AMG and they are fantastic. Much quieter than the stock Yokohama Advans I had and a million times better than the Michelin Pilot Sport EVs I briefly had before returning them.

My former tires gave me right @ 21k miles & they were still @ 4/32’s except one was @ 6, go figure. As the car was a CPO, that one might have been a replacement before I got the car @ 10.5k miles.
Made service appt. with local dealer for install per the online instructions. Arrived for install & the SA had the price @ regular price. I had a copy of the invoice on my phone & dealer corrected (FYI). It was raining quite hard when I left & the tires were even better than my prior driving. Sound & comfort on our New England roads was better also than of course the old ones.
Getting ready for a spring road trip so wanted to make sure the tires were good. Should be interesting to see if any change in usual consumption rates, probably not but the tire is designed for our cars.

I hear you, guess I got a bit luckier in my experience.
I do struggle a bit in deciding over other tire brands, but with 5 years of tire wheel insurance (43 months left) decide to start with this brand. Apologies to all, I did replace one tire that had a blow-out several months ago. Must be old-timers!

Our factory Goodyear Eagles lasted about 12k miles. I just replaced them with a set of Continental ExtremeContract DWS 06 Plus. They are as quiet as the Goodyear summer tires and I haven't seen any reduction in range at all. Plus, they come with a 50k mile warranty. I wanted the all seasons as opposed to summer tires, just for the security while traveling.
I had almost 35K miles on my Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5's, when I sold my EQS. I would estimate that they had another 7-10K left on them. They performed flawlessly during the three years I drove the EQS. I have always favored Michelin, but I have Conti all seasons on both my current GLC300 4matic and my Panamera 4, and like them very much. They are quiet, grippy, and perform very well in the wet conditions. Interestingly, I had a sticker on the dash of my new Panamera which said 150/240......reminding me that the all season tires on my Panamera were not rated for the top speed of 168. Pretty funny!
I can get a set of Pirelli P Zero All Season Run Flat 265/40R21 for $238.94 each. Older Production Date Tires This tire was produced in 2022. Older Production Date Tires are new tires that we offer at a discounted price.
Is this a good deal?

Exceptional deal. Tire replacement guidance: approx 7 year life, even if still new. You’ll likely be bald in 4 more years anyhow. Got for it.
For the tire the price is really good. Are you getting it from somewhere like Priority Tire Guys on eBay? I got a Goodyear Assurance for my Kia Carnival at 60% off and the dates were 2021 in 2024 and I currently have 30k miles on them, and I highly recommend them. They store it inside a storage so the shelf life doesn't matter at all. You are getting great tires at a great price without any compromise. I'm going to do the same for the next set of tires.
