Today, while driving, I got an error message saying that the pressure sensor for one of my tires (left rear) was 'missing'. I checked the pressure manually, and it's OK.
Is there any easy way that I can fix this (yes, I've tried turning off my car, waiting a few hours, and turning it on again :-), or do I have no choice but to take it in to MB for service?
If it is easier, you might stop by a tire store and ask them to check to see if it is actually transmitting. If not they can probably replace the sensor, if it is transmitting then it is the MB Dealer
If the "missing" sensor moves to a different location after swapping the wheels on the driver side the issue is probably the TPMS rather than the module in the car.
It turns out that this is the same tire into which I dumped the contents of a TireFit sealant canister a couple of months ago. (This ended up not sealing my puncture, because of the sound-deadening foam insert ("PNCS") inside the tire,) So the sealant likely messed up the TPMS sensor in the tire. But fortunately I'm due to replace all of my tires real soon now, so I can get this fixed then.

FWIW, I tried fixing the problem by letting out most of the air from that tire, and then refilling it - figuring that the rush of air out/in might somehow fix the TPMS sensor. At first this had no effect, but then a few hours later the pressure sensor for that tire started working once again. Go figure...
