I mean the addition of the standing hood star was like a model year change similar to the 2018 E 300 becoming 2019 E 350 and/or the 2018 E 300 steering wheel changing to the newer style in the 2019. Or the 2018 C 300 got the 9G tronic when the 2017 C 300 had the 7G Plus. I don't think MB themselves said the 2025 EQS was a refresh or facelift of any sort.

Yes, this was somewhat widely reported a while back. 2025 EQSs have the sort of "emergency" grill change and bigger battery, 2026 should launch a more comprehensive facelift with fully new bumpers and lights, MBUX 3, new in house motors, and a further updated battery that will likely remain 118kwhs but be a new 800 volt system.

Is this just a wish list, or has someone at MB leaked information about such a change? It’s no secret that the egg design has been controversial and not very popular. Personally, my dream is to have a GLS/EQS/S with EQ technology, similar to the approach MB took with the G model. I would gladly accept the range penalty that comes with such a move.
