“Light collision detected”
Last evening we were parked at a large parking lot. When I started the EQS 580 when we were ready to head home, a message came up on my screen which said a collision was detected. My wife and I checked the car and did not locate any damage. Today I checked the images using the Mbrace app and the car’s settings that were supposedly taken of the impact.
The images showed a different parking lot and vehicles that I did not recognize. That’s crazy. The only thing that makes sense to me is that there was some sort of light collision with an EQS somewhere else and confused it with my car. Is that possible?

Could have been delayed. But often this can be triggered by vibrations as opposed to an actual collision. For instance I have seen where parked in an older parking lot where the structure has some mild flex, the alert can go off if a heavy vehicle drives past.

I’ve had the collision detected warning twice since I’ve had the car. The first was when I was charging at a public lot while dining. I immediately went out to inspect the car and found no evidence of a collision. Not a scratch. The second time was when I shipped my car on a car carrier truck and inadvertently armed the vehicle. Collision warning immediately went off. False alarm due to vibration of the truck. In neither of the cases did the pictures help.
