Lots are coming off lease, and you will have your choice of model and options. I've been watching the market closely as I've been thinking about buying a second one, and have noticed they are cheap enough now that they are selling quickly. Nice low mileage EQS cars are disappearing off dealer websites within days--at least the ones priced reasonably at $55,000-$70,000. I think people finally noticed that you can get an amazing car for new Honda like money.

Exactly, bought mine a month ago, and well optioned and priced ones only stay on the lot a week. Every one I looked at is long gone, I see my local dealer in SoCal now has a higher mileage '23 CPO 450+ for 47 and a lower milage, higher spec one for 50.
Drive/look at a couple and decide what features are important to you, choose your price point and wait. I wanted the AMG line interior, and decided the 450 4matic was the right balance of performance v cost for me, which narrowed things down a lot.

Am curious about what u said for the AMG line interior. Looks like it is only possible with base leather and NOT nappa. Did u factor that in or is the amg line interior leather great compared to others?

I like the sportier steering wheel and seats, yes they’re regular leather rather than the softer Nappa, Worth it for the bigger side bolsters and thigh support.

The synthetic leather on Mbenz cars is a tricky. Some newer cars have great vegan leather, some don't. Am not sure what kind of leather is the base one for the EQS, so that's why I asked. It doesn't seem to be that premium in photos but I could be wrong.

'AMG Black/Space Grey Leather' - is at least described as actual leather and seems to be, I didn't want leatherette either.

Am not sure about that. But HD youtube videos and 4K photos shows that the leather has a texture... so I wonder if it's actually leatherette .

450 4Matic is an interesting choice, considering you can 'turn on' the extra hp and it is essentially a 580. Maybe minus the hyperscreen, which it may have anyway depending on the options. IMHO, the hyperscreen looks cool, but does not make a lot of difference day-to-day.

Turns it into a EQS500 which isn't sold in the US so not quite a 580, but yes certainly rapid, hyper screen is exceedingly rare on any 450, wasn't available until 23 I don't think.

The EQS is only sold with leather in NA. I am not sure about other countries but All EQSs in the USA have real leather.

Yeah but the question is, how does "leather" compare to "Nappa Leather". I feel that there is a difference. Honestly if is not not the Semianiline or Nappa, I'd rather have leatherette over basic leather. But I have to admit that I've never sat in an EQS with the basic leather to tell how good/bad is it.

Cadillac ELR. EQS450+
My EQS 450+ has the AMG line interior in leather.
The leather is not very convincing...at all.
My Cadillac has semi-aniline leather and it's much nicer, softer, and aromatic

That's my concern.... If it's real leather, in all cars I had I noticed that it must be at least Nappa and even that is marginal and semianiline is the best.. Base leather has always been a disappointment in a way that I'd rather have vegan/leatherate than base leather. but again just my own observation. Leatherate is great and I wish they never offered base leather and instead just offered leatherate which in many cases even better than Nappa....... Base leather is the worst of all options.

It's a personal preference thing. I'm fine with whatever base leather that came in our 580. However, I must say, MB Tex is amazing stuff. It may not have a place in an EQS, but the stuff is indestructible. Look at Junkyard Gems on Autoblog and check out MB's from the 1970's and 1980's...stuff does not wear.

Yeah I know. I have it on our GLS and I strictly shopped for MB Tex on that car because the GLS again mostly comes with base leather too for the leather option, or less than perfect Nappa, so I really wanted MB Tex. I'd say that my BMWs that had sensafin (vegan BMW) leather were the best, but Tesla's leather is by far the very best leather I ever had on any car.... I probably even like that leather more than the semianiline I had in my W222, almost as good but surely easier to clean and shows zero wear and tear. At this point base leather should have no room in any car... should go vegan (which is better and perhaps still cheaper), or get us premium leather.

I am in the Tri-state area, and am looking for a used EQS as well. AMG interior and exterior only.
