Has anyone experienced this warning: “Active Blind Spot Assist Inoperative” followed by “Temporary Unavailable - Sensor Dirty”?
Where is the sensor? I thought perhaps buried in the outside mirrors, however, those cameras seem clean. I got this after the lower part of the rear bumper of the car was repaired in a collision repair shop. Any connection? Is it possible this is a software issue and the system has to be reset somehow? Is the blind spot Assist an optical sensor or a radar sensor in the rear of the car?

Radar sensor on both sides of the rear bumper, so yes, most likely caused by the repair. It may have gotten disconnected during the repair and they didn't reconnect it properly, or it got knocked out of alignment and needs to be recalibrated.

I can confirm that. Was in the same situation.Originally Posted by superswiss
