Zero rattles on the 580 for me. I go however make sure I apply silicone rubber conditioner on the seals like on the door.

Since you mentioned seals, someone did exactly that but on a W206 instead https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...dow-frame.html

Back for an update. More felt material down lower in the back of the front passenger seat as if the seat has a bad spine and bad headrest on top. It quiet now. However, there is a rattle over certain roads, and if I give a good slap, it stops.

I don't think it is completed fixed. The spring pinging noise has been reduced and limited to certain degree of vibration.

noise issues are the most annoying

annoying to find and solve.

I had given up on my front passenger seat headrest area spring-like noise. Service tried to fix it three times and eventually ordered a new headrest. No help. My EQS (23k miles) is going in for service this week because front end feels loose and makes knocking/clunking noises when driving over bumps and road imperfections. Also a squeak in the right rear suspension. And this week passenger door handle stopped working. I’ll add the headrest rattle to the list once more.

Good luck. It certainly is a flawed design that allows for rattling. I have a manual on how to remove the headrest and properly disassemble back of the seat, I could likely mitigate the rattle and pinging noise. For now, I've got bigger fish to kill.
