MercedesMe Changes

Anyone received an email notification about upcoming changes to MercedesMe that is due to take affect in December 2025. I have a US spec EQS AMG sedan manufactured in 2022. I am really getting annoyed with getting e-mail in German and then have to translate in Microsoft. I have contacted MBUSA about the issue and got no where with why I receive German notifications. As much as I love my car its the lack of SW support and lack of attention to detail like the customer messaging that will probably prevent me from getting another MB in the future.

I share your irritation with the amazing lack of "attention to detail" we experience. I don't know how MB managed to amass such a strong market reputation over the years, unless all these customer-facing "failures" are very recent.

But, I feel there must be a setting that's with in your control to make this information arrive to you in English. I feel this way because when I took delivery of my car, everything -- the car, the MMe App and the MMe account was in Swedish. To me that proves that the information can come to customers in something other than German. I changed every language setting I found to English. So now, the car and the MMe app are in English (my native language). My MMe (web) account remains in Swedish, even though I have English selected there as my preference. Go figure. Marketing communications, still arrive to me mostly in Swedish, but sometimes in English -- but never German.

The places I found to select language were:
MBUX - car settings
MMe account (web) - "MyMercedes" - settings - language

Have you been able to figure out, in general, what they are talking about changing with Mercedes Me? I haven't received such a mail yet.

I had emails and Mercedes Me sign on screens in German for my last & current EQS. It was so frustrating and I couldn't find the answer. When I was working with support over email for a different issue - someone helped with this problem.

Reached out to the Mercedes-Benz Digital Extras team digitalextras.usa@cac.mercedes-benz.com. They sent directions to change my country in a SalesForce portal - I was able to update in less than 5 minutes and haven't had the issue since.

Could you post those instructions (sanitized of any personal info)?

Here are the instructions they shared with me. My log in details are not working on this page any longer - not sure if they enabled access for a short time or if I had a password change since accessing. Hopefully this helps!

To resolve the issue with the portal switching to German, please follow these steps below:
  1. Open the https://mercedes-benz-ccc.my.salesforce.com/apex/ and log in to the user account.
  2. Click the menu bar "My Account" and then "Change Country". At this stage, the website will be shown in a foreign language. Advise the customer to use a translation tool.
  3. Correct the user account country and preferred language.
  4. Accept the Mercedes me ID Service Terms.
  5. After saving the changes, the CIAM database will store the proper language preference, and all further customer communication triggered by CIAM will be in the desired language.
To change the language to English and the country to the United States, please follow these steps:
  1. Log in to this Demo app https://mercedes-benz-ccc.my.salesforce.com/apex/
  2. Then click My Account
  3. Click My Data
  4. Change language to English and country to USA.
