Hi, For the EQS53 AMG guys. What size spacers are you running? I was planning to run spacers on the stock 22's til the tire wear out then use my other set of 22's from my W221.
Also. how long will the OEM 22" tires will last ?
I don't run 22" but 21" and the original tires lasted 11K to 13K before all 4 tires were bald on the interior. The AMG EQS appears to run negative camber on all 4 tires according to my car's setup. As for spacers, you probably don't need them if you can find Brabus rim's or get aftermarket rims that have the same or similar offsets. With a little bit of homework, you can get tires within the spec rotation to make the 4matic+ happy.
most people usually go with 12mm or 15mm to get that flush look on the stock 22s. as for the tires, it really depends on how heavy your foot is. these cars are heavy and eat through rubber pretty fast, so don't expect more than 15-20k miles if you're driving it like an amg should be driven.
I’ve been test-fitting different spacer options for the Mercedes-AMG EQS with 22" wheels.
Based on my measurements, the car can accommodate up to:
15mm spacers in the front
20mm spacers in the rear
I ordered 20mm spacers and already had a set of 10mm spacers on hand.
The 20mm rear spacers fit fine using 65mm lug bolts. However, the 10mm front spacers did not fit at all because the front hub centering lip is too long. I also read somewhere on this forum that newer Mercedes-Benz front hubs require 12.5mm or larger spacers to properly clear the OEM hub-centric lip.
I’m going to put some miles on the car before deciding whether to order 12.5mm or 15mm front spacers along with the appropriate lug bolts.
While the wheels were off, I also measured the ride height sensor links because I’m planning to make my own lowering links. I’ll post the full parts list once everything arrives and is installed.
For reference:
Front OEM link length: 85mm
Rear OEM link length: 50mm
Both links should be lengthened by 5mm or more to achieve a proper drop. All the parts were available on
