Great thread, Gary. One of my favorite things about Europe is eating my way through it! Although I can't name a restaurant, I can tell you I love the variety of foods from the different regions. Whether it's Matjes in Hamburg, Currywurst in Berlin, Dortmund, or Osnabrueck, Pizza from anywhere, Schnitzel, wild game in Tuscany, seafood along the Mediterranean, the snails in France... You name it, I love it.
A salad within the medieval walls of Carcassonne.
A traditional peasant stew in Carcassonne.
Lunch atop the Zugspitze.
Pizza from a village near Niece.
Escargot, from within the 14th Century walls of the old part of Girona, Spain.
Traditional German fare.
A pizza from "I can't remember where."
Some mussels in Frascati, Italy; just outside of Rome.
Not my photo (found on the web) of some Matjes. I had Matjes as "street fare" in Hamburg.
Four weeks and two days until we depart to pick up our new GLC. I can't wait!!!!

How time flies. Our daughter was with us on our first ED. She was in middle school at the time and we were gone for a month. All her teachers and her principal were Ok with her absence, giving her a little work to do while she was gone. They understood that she would learn far more traveling through Europe than she would in the classroom. Now she works full time for the news department of a TV station, and is finishing her last semester of college. You must be very proud of your daughter, like I am of mine!
