E53 Coupe European Delivery
Hi,
I am new to the forums. I placed my order for the 2019 E53 AMG Coupe a while back and my delivery date is approaching. On 01/18, I will be taking delivery and I couldn't be more excited.
I read in multiple places about the law requiring all season or winter tires between Nov and Apr or when the temp is below a certain point. The tires that come with the car are summer tires. Is anyone aware of a place where I can rent winter tires for the duration of the trip (1 week)? I found http://www.edwintertires.com/, but it seems to be specifically for BMW ED. Is there an equivalent for Mercedes? This seems like an odd thing to have to deal with.
Aside from the tires, are there any recommendation on places to visit? I already have the Mercedes and AMG factory and museum and Porsche museum on the list.
My wheels are:
245/35 R 20 on 8 J x 20 ET 43 (Front)
275/30 R 20 on 9 J x 20 ET 49 (Rear)

We just got back from our ED couple days ago and there's really not much to see in Stuttgart other than the car museums you've already mentioned. However, if you are planning on a road trip in southern Germany, there's a few places that may be of interest.
1. Baden-Baden. Famous for their spa. If you go, make a dinner reservation at "Schneider`s Weinstube & Vinothek"
2. Hinterzarten. Small and charming ski town. Highly recommend staying at the Parkhotel Adler
3. Fussen. Visit the Neuschwanstein "Disney" castles here.
