Alright, here's another suggestion for the Malibu part of the deal, and it doesn't matter what time you show up and if anyone is hungry or not and if people need gas or not -
Go thru Malibu on PCH, pass Cross Creek Rd and turn left at the next or after next (forget) light with the STANDARD GAS STATION on the corner.
You will have entered the Malibu Ralphs Savon Diedrich's parking lot with a Substation or Subway (forget), restaurants (Googi's or something) and lots of other stuff. It holds like 300-400 cars and is never even close to full. It is a beautiful parking lot with shade trees and people can get just a coffee, or just a sub sandwich, or actually go in a restaurant, or just get some doritos at Ralphs
As for gas, as a note, the way the lot is set up, with barriers to prevent people from using it as a turnaround, it is best to get gas after, entering from the lot.

The meeting starts at 11am at Fashion Island Parking Lot Structure 2 near a restaurant called Thaifoon at the top or bottom if it gets full. lol
