It was interesting that Mrs. Schiznick's car & mine turned in virtually identical dyno numbers - wish she could have brought the wagon to Silver Dollar!
I was blown away by the sound of Schiznick's CLS55 on the dyno - it sounded SO much better than my E55 (in addition to beating it by 10 RWHP).
Sheesh, I'm starting to think about trading it in!

Derek, I'll admit that one of my primary reasons for attending was to hook up with both you & Eric (Gid_E_Up), fellow E55 owners pushing the performance envelope. I'm sorry you couldn't make it, but I'm sure the other participants agree that what we experienced was very special - you really had to be there!

Ok after seeing those pictures where's the videos pls?
Also the Red V12 BiTurbo SL65 Kleemann, what was it putting down the wheels/crank? Anybody know? That car must''ve had the highest rwhp out of the group right? What other mods does it have?

piko6,
It was great to meet you.
If I had to get passed by someone on our trip to Reynolds, I didn't mind at all that it was you.
Your SL65 rocks, if only I didn't have a limiter...... ok, you still would have passed me.
I take it you got back with no issues.
Schiznick

Let's plan a southeast event again soon!
The weather, work and strep throat kept me and the family from coming. Let's regroup soon to make this happen again soon. I can easily rent carolina dragway in Beech Island, South Carolina just 15 miles from my town of Augusta, Georgia (Home of the Masters for you Golfers). Also we have a dyno shop off Interstate 20 that some of my friends use to Dyno their Ford Lightning trucks and Gran National turbo cars.

I was a newbie attending this, my first, AMG event, w/ my C55, & I certainly don't want to step on Pico6's toes, as he will probably respond to the queries regarding his awesome SL65. I had GREAT fun, & many thanks to Schiznick & Chappy for arranging this.
As I recall, Pico6's red SL65 put down 564 HP & 709 ft-lbs torque at the rear-wheels, and he ran about 11.7 secs @ 127 MPH at the drags. Compared to 505 HP & 622 ft-lbs for a stock SL65 from Orlando, which ran a best of 12.05 secs @ 121 MPH, on her first time at a drag-strip.

For completeness sake, I guess I should comment on my own car's performance. I was a little-bit disappointed by my C55's numbers, as I was low-man on the totem-pole at the dyno for 5.5L engines. I only got 284 HP & 296 ft-lbs torque @ the rear-wheels, vs. 290-310 HP for other C55- & C32-class AMG's. And I was 0.2-0.4-secs slower on the drags. My only excuse is that maybe my car is still breaking-in at 3,000 miles, & it was my first time at the strip.
I vow to do better next time, & whup Chappy's 13.4 sec 1/4 mi. time!!
Although Chappy's smoky-burnout of about $200-worth of Z-rated rubber may be hard to beat for some time!!!

piko6, you and all the other out-of-towners made this event more enjoyable by participating.

Glad you all could make it. Schiznick and I should have some even more surprises (hopefully) for the next one.

SLK32
A Big Thanks to Chappy & Schiznick for all their hard work in setting up a great event. And thanks again to Schiznick for the extended use of a helmet. This event gets May off on the right foot and sets a great tone for the rest of the summer.
My stock SLK32 (ok, you may argue that I am not stock because I have an SL55 splitter & the resonator removed) put down 298.5hp & 292.6 ft/lbs. I ran consistent 13.0 @108-109 on the track. A nice improvement over my only other trip to the drag strip.
Don't want to steal piko6's thunder but if memory serves he has the Kleeman ECU & Eiseman exhuast.

Looks like I missed the boat on this one. Bummer man. Great posts and great pics. Steve should get the Royal Star of Germany for organizing this bad dude.
