The first San Diego MB/AMG meet last year drew the presence of 3 cars:
- 2002 C32 AMG Sedan w/ C55 quad exhaust - Wiedermann

and quite a few more vintage classics showing up from MBCA (not on the list).

thinking of taking over the entire Moonlight Beach parking lot in Encinitas at 7AM and make it an all day MB/AMG Beach Party
Future ones....
might have to rent out space at Qualcomm Stadium or Del Mar Race Track !

actually, Del Mar Race Track is an equestrian hippodrome....
(a horse-track).
I wish we could have it a race track. I think there's something in Carlsbad, that we can look into for future San Diego meets.

I'm starting to get worried, that as more & more people sign up, we will take over the ENTIRE parking lot, and it might cause some undue concern from regular Coaster riders.
Don't get me wrong, there's approx 75-125 empty parking spaces, but you never know if we get more people showing up.
Any pull with the Encinitas City Council to help sanction the event or at least reserve half the lot ???? Let me know if anything is possible. I don't want anything going wrong.

I saw one in Mexico a couple of months ago. It was a Mexican Army vehicle.
If you ever take the 'free' coastal route to Rosarito / Ensenada, Baja California, (not the Toll Road) just as you pass the FOX Movie Studios, there's a Mexican Army check-point. Right on the beach side, they've got a camouflaged-painted Mercedes-Benz UNIMOG.
I didn't have my camera that day, but you can bet, next time I'm down there, I'm getting off and taking pictures. Someone might have to come get me out of a Mexican jail with Pedro telling me he really likes my pants !! But that's another story !
anyway, anybody know anyone with a MB UNIMOG in San Diego or O.C. that could bring it to the meet ???? I'd like to take a picture of that with the SMART right next to it, or underneath it, if it fits !!

The other two "regulars" are older, and have way old classic MBs and are more into classic cars than MBs, so I don't know about them showing up, like just to be surrounded by MBs. Just so you know ...
