I have a new 65' Mitsubishi HDTV with speakers and surroundsound that I play music off of. I duno if your IPOD will work on it? I also have direct T.V. and I have about 15 commerical free music channels we can choose from.

I already have a couple people that want to buy it. People love that tv 
My new one will have double the pixels, if you can imagine. I'm waiting for the prices to come down. A salesman told me in a couple months all the high-end tv prices will be cut almost in half. Like $6,500 tvs will be selling for $3500, and with double the pixels. All I have to do is wait ... deep breath .. patience is a virtue ... being patient ... ahhhhh! I want my new TV RIGHT NOW!!!

hdtv is soooo overrated. i have had one for 10 months and all it is is big. the hd comes and goes on comcast. the constant digital breakup, the out of sync vocals just is too much, the massive heat dissapation off the cable box power supply.
seriously take it from someone that has one dont rush to buy one.
fyi i have the mitsu 65" dlp desktop model as i like to call it. it is NOISY because of the 2 fans that run all the time and it runs super hot so it warms up the room real nice.
i installed a 42 edtv at my buddies house as well as a 65 inch hdtv full size and they all are about the same. oh and dont even thing about hooking up your 350 video card in your puter to these things the definition just isnt there unless you are on top of the screen.

I can't believe how big your tv's are ladies. That one day at your house Lisa...your tv was huge! I don't even want to imagine how big the future 70" will look in that room. Although you do have a good amount of space for the 70". Just be sure to invite me and Carlos again and we can pop in another dvd. oh and can I play with the seagway too!

I agree about the HDTV. I pay for the regular direct t.v. channels. The T.V. wasn't that expensive so I got it. I don't have any fan noise or any of the other complaints you have?

Eric - I'm with Angela, I don't have any of that stuff you complain about either. I know the owner of a tv store, so I got my Sony very inexpensively, and I just wanted the best picture that one could humanely possibly get, like no regrets, ya know? I really only watch a few shows and movies on it and hardly ever switch from the HD channels.
And nobody else complains. Another reason I got the tv was for guests and they all love it. When my family stays here my bro-in-law takes it over and my Uncle almost bought one just like it until I told him to wait for better and lower prices. Two people have asked if I want to sell it to them, a neighbor and a friend, when I get my new one. Maybe the newer tvs are different from the old ones you're talkin about. Mine's a Sony Vega XBR LCD rear projection, not a plasma, so maybe that has something to do with it, and Times Warner has had HD cable for awhile so maybe they have worked the bugs out but Comcast hasn't. You are invited anytime to come down and check it out, in fact I would welcome it because you seem to know alot about the tech part and could help me figure out how to do just the stuff I want to do with it. The TV has too many bells and whistles and I just want to know how to do certain stuff with it like look at pictures and watch videos from this camera I have on the TV?
