Very High... I havent done an actual head count but I imagine we may be up near 80-100 people for this event, I am no longer posting member info on here.
Dave could you contact Rob and see what they have come up with for hotels? I think my email address's domain name might be on a spam list or something because I havent recieved any responses back from him.
Again for all of you coming please read this and do so if you have not already:
For those who are already signed up could you please send me your information that mercedes is looking for via PM or preferably email to NortheastAMG@yahoo.com. This is for an accurate head count and for the first competition amongst all those who attend.
Information
First Name/ Last Name/ Forum and Screen name
Home address(dont worry this will not be entered in a Mailing list)
Vehicle
Names of those attending with you(first and last name) ...
Example:
Peter/ wouldntuliketoknow/ MBworld 55fanatic
155 any street Boston, MA 09023
2000 ML55
Mom, Dad, Mike Jones

Hey guys this should go unsaid but, I hope you all show up with clean cars freshly polished or detailed etc etc. There is a good chance that this event will be documented in some sort of Mercedes PR material in say I dunno a video format. This format is usally found on a frisbee looking thing and can contain LOTS of information like a movie for example. There is also a good chance that members who want will have some MIC time to "show off" there rides and explain any mods.
So for your sake make your small screen debut a good looking one, lol

A possible serious issue has been brought to my attention. I did not think this issue would have to be discussed as most of those attending are older and much more mature. I think there may be some confusion on the subject but there is to be NO alcoholic beverages or illegal substances of any kind intended to be consumed at the Mercedes USA event or the track event. There is no gray area here, it will not be tollerated and actions will be taken to make sure this does not happen.
This event will be one to go down in the history books for mercedes enthusiasts everywhere. I would hope that it isnt tarnished by someone getting arrested or injured. Sorry for posting this kill joy but the "partying" of the weekend wil have there time and place. As long as everyone plays it smart and safe this will be an amaizing weekend to be had by all

I'm confused...
Can someone post up an itinerary for the entire weekend. Also, what is required from us? For the track day, is there an age limit (I'm 18) and is there a rule for mandatory helmet's?
I don't think I'll be able to make it for the MBHQ tour, but I can make the other two days. Someone hook me up with an itinerary. Thanks!

it would also help if we knew about what time the boston guys are coming down and what time the va/md/dc guys are coming up.
i had mentioned i think in another post that if theres no interest with the nyc/nj guys meeting up and rolling together that i wouldnt mind driving down the turnpike and possibly meeting the va/md/dc guys at the delaware memorial bridge or at a rest stop or whatever. c43amg said hes down to do that too.
i see all these sick pics of all the WC guys rolling deep on the highways to their meets and id really like to see that/be a part of that over here on the EC. come on guys, lets make it happen!

I may not be in town and won't know for sure until 9/30. should I register anyway? I'd love to take part in this event and finally meet many of those I've chatted with.

he is right, better off registering and then not showing up... As far as a schedule for the weekend... Here will be my best judgement to what will unfold, Friday(time to be set and agreed upon amongst all boston participants) we will roll on down to Montvale.
Saturday morning I will probably be the one to register you all at MBUSA For those coming. The event will begin promptly at 9am where we will all park our cars and begin the days events. The days events will include(note that these may change but were the ideas that me Dave C.(C43AMG) and Rob Allan and crew came up with) A show where atendees will vote for there favorite cars by type... IE best SUV, best E etc etc etc. There will be breakfast and lunch. A short presentation will be given on AMG and then there will be a Q&A with an AMG design Engineer, and a Mobil lubrication specialist. The days events are schedule to conclude around 3pm.
Saturday night there are no planned events but I was hoping to hit up "the city" and quite possibly get some pictures with the traditional New York Skyline in the background.
Sunday we will have a late morning for people to get over hang overs or sleep in to catch up on some rest and then its off to englishtown's Raceway park for a day of fun competition and then I figure we could all have dinner somewhere as a group. Monday really isnt anything but a commuting day and a last minute stuff. Maybe a breakfast as a group but nothing serious.
And with that being said... that was the FIRST time I have actually laid out the weekend in full. I am quite excited about the weekend. Tomorow morning sometime I will post numbers once I have recieved registration info. Could those of you not attending saturday still register. It will help us with the numbers.
Viktorious, Ill try and get in touch with englishtown, but our communications are quite slow. From what i understand you must be at least 18 years of age, valid drivers license. The rule up here is, cars sub 14seconds time require that the driver wears a helmet.
I will try and check that for you though

I'll talk to the md/dc/va guys this weekend or the next and setup definite plans. As of right now I was thinking of leaving early sat. morning. We do cruises down here from time to time and sometimes we get a good turnout. For some reason, nobody ever ends up taking pics

So...
The 8th, which is a Saturday we will meet up in Montvale NJ, park our cars, have a little meet and greet. Vote on cars, and then take a tour of the facilities etc.
That night we will hit up the city etc.
The 9th, which is a Sunday is track day at Englishtown. After that, the weekend event is over?
Are there any events planned for the 10th?
ALL NY/NJ PEOPLE, PM ME AND LETS FIGURE OUT A MEETING PLACE TO CARAVAN TO!

55fanatic: When you call E-town find out if the road course is going to be open (Whats the point of dragging a stock C230!) and what the prices will be for all thats going on at E-town.
Also, I dont know if you are interested but I believe that Sunday morning there is going to be a caravan of around 20 Cobras rolling down the So. State into Manhatten to Columbus Circle. Its really quite a scene to here 40 side pipes rumbling through the city streets... Not to mention how awesome that would sound if the decide to take the tunnel!!! (And no not Mustangs, Shelby 427 Cobras) If sunday is going to be a late start, Maybe we can caravan in and go see 'em or something, maybe even after they leave take their spots and take a picture in Columbus Circle. This saturday I'm going to meet them and I can find out more details if you want, and whether or not the have the NYPD closing off Columbus Circle for them.
Im down for meeting up and rolling to NJ. Dont know If I'm leaving saturday or friday though, but if we have to be there at 9am... Any word on the Hotels yet?

Nemo: The road course is still being built, and cost at englishtown is $30 for three runs, I am trying to get some kind of a group rate for us in the meantime.
As far as Hotels, there is a marriott right next to MBUSA, it is the Parkridge Marriott. They had no room for group rates but they have plenty of room to house all of us. The folks at MBUSA will be searching for some group rates for us somewhere I hope.
Viktorious: Trophies wont be handed out but if your bringing your ML, mine would beat it anyway, lol
