Northern California SLK & SLR Enthusiasts Meet & Drive 9/17/05

Mark your calendars for the September Northern California SLK & SLR Enthusiast meeting on 9/17/05.
Back by popular demand, this is actually a prior route requested by many people who did not make it when we drove in March due to early morning stormy weather. those who did make it wanted to drive it again!
Times are approximate to let people join along the way. There are links below for those that want the info, but don’t let it intimidate you. Just showing up to follow in the group is fine.
Meeting at:
Presidio Officers' Club Parking Lot
50 Moraga Avenue (at Arguello Blvd on the Main Post)
Presidio, San Francisco, CA
Directions are at:

Arrive at: 10:30 AM
The café at the Officers club is available for coffee and/or light breakfast. Highlight is car talk and socializing.
Depart Presidio at: 11:30 AM - The drive route will start with a beautiful loop around the Presidio for about a half hour. We will then proceed across the Golden Gate Bridge to the Marin Headlands where we will drive through the hills with breathtaking views. We will target leaving the vista point at the north end of the Golden Gate about 12:15 - 12:30 to start the drive through the Marin Headlands Loop. The drive will have spectacular views and there will be a self guided tour of the Marine Mammal Center from about 1:15 to 1:45 p.m.

Thereafter ~2 p.m., we will drive down to Sausalito for a late lunch. We are working to finalize the exact lunch location and will publish it later.
Packets with maps and information will be handed out at the meeting....

Lunch Location Designated
At the end of the meet and drive, we have decided on a late lunch at Paradise Bay in Sausalito. We will target the lunch 2:15 - 2:30. A sample menu can be seen here:
