why doesn't the Glendale caravan and the Riverside/Corona caravan
meet up early with the Diamond Bar/Rowland Heights caravan, and all cruise together ?

if too much of a logistical nightmare,
then nevermind. Just a suggestion....

I think Sun has his military duties that weekend but I am not 100% sure.

Hey Riverside/Corona caravan, maybe you guys can consider also joining the Rowland Heights/Diamond Bar Caravan. Rowland Heights and the Glendale caravan will be teaming up to go down there with more than 10 cars. It's worth it, since the whole purpose of this meet is to have FUN. The more cars we can caravan together, the better the experience. Trust me, it's definitely interesting to roll/hog up the freeway with 10 other mercedes with their lights on. Hope you guys can join. It'll be lots of fun. You guys can take the 60W-57S exit Diamond Bar Blvd.

well considering diamond bar is say like 20-30 miles out of the way i guess its not a problem.

one must go up the 71 to the 60 then to the 57 to meet the diamond bar people. then drive down the 57 to the 91 to the toll road to get to the meet.

more pratical to take the 57s to the 5S to get to Irvine, no need for the 91 toll roads

Hey Eric, no need for toll. 57S to 5S will get you there in less than 30 minutes. It will be lots of fun to ride in a larger group if possible-like the last time we went down to San Diego. Time would've past alot slower if we didn't have the posse with us, don't you think? It shouldn't really waste much time at all since the day is supposed to be about having FUN and nothing is more FUN than riding with the boys. IMO. Look forward to seeing you.

my goal here is not to be arguementative. i only was trying to point out that its not really convienent for those that are coming from riverside/corona to drive to diamond bar. a better idea might be to meet somewhere off the 55. that way the ie peeps dont have to add another 30 miles on the odometer.

additionally we are doing a FUN RUN. basically a caravan with most of the attendees. this will be photographed and it will be shot on video. might as well save all that gaz for the FUN RUN.

http://www.thebenzgroup.org/forums/showthread.php?t=70

anyhow i have to show up early to TJ's to be in some photo ops and help setup.

that seems to be the plan !

Please please please (i'm talking from 10 MB Meets of Experience here),
make sure everyone coordinates the times for arrival / departure from each caravaning point. Glendale / Diamond Bar / etc...

Always give 5-10 minutes of lee-way for stragglers / traffic.
It might be a good idea to set up a mid-way point, in case people get left behind or stuck behind a traffic light or something. That way everyone can catch up again, and be on their way.
Like FrankW mentioned, walkie-talkies are good; and get leader & tail cell #'s to call in case you get lost, left behind, flat tire, etc....

I'll leave all the coordinating details to you guys... just want to make sure everything flows smoothly for this super MB Meet.

Can't wait to see all 100+ of you guys on the 15th !!!

Best Buy
2430 Tuscany Road
Corona, CA

Cajalco Road Exit off of the 15 freeway, just south of the 91, on the east side of the 15. In the Corona Crossing Shopping Center

A good meeting time would be 10-10:15 AM, wait around for 15 min. for others to show up, then leave for Irvine at 10:30 AM with an ETA of 11 AM.

The Caravan can take:

1) Short way via the toll roads. 15 North to 91 West to 241 South to 133 South to 5 North exit Sand Canyon. (http://www.thetollroads.com/tca/tripCal.do?cmd=goto241) Only prob here is you gotta stop and pay a toll unless you have a FasTrak in which case you can drive on through.

2) Or the long way via 91 West to 5 South and exit on Sand Canyon

Can I give one of you guys my #? Maybe CLK since he's going for sure? I don't want to show up and then find out beemaze can't go and that no one else shows up.

Or can one of you give me your number so I can actually coordinate this on the phone the night before or maybe in the morning before I leave?
