Post Does your car what it takes to make the MBWorld calendar?

With the support of MBWorld I have decided to host a virtual car show contest. The winners will receive a trophy and have their vehicle showcased in the first annual MBWorld calendar! The calendar will be available for purchase online at the MBWorld Store/Gift Shop. This will be a 2006 calendar (yes we know it's a little late, but we'll do better next year!). The calendar will represent five months of winning AMG Mercedes and five months of all other models. The remaining two months will feature honorable mention cars from all classes.

Categories:

AMG
1. Best Original Unmodified Car
2. Best All Around Modified Inside & Out
3. Best Sleeper
4. Best Show
5. Car You Would Like to Line Up Against

All Other Classes
1. Best Original Unmodified Car
2. Best All Around Modified Inside & Out
3. Best Sleeper
4. Best Show
5. An Oldie But Goodie

If you would like to enter your car in one of the ten categories please submit a photo in the format listed below to Calendars@MBWorld.org no later than 2/15/06. If you have any questions, please email Calendars@MBWorld.org or you can reply to the Calendars thread in the Off-Topic Forum. For those of you who don’t know me, I am an active member of this community that is trying to do something cool to bring the members (both distant and local) together. This is a great opportunity to show your community support and we hope we can make this calendar an annual tradition.

Submission Requirements:

- Maximum two photos
- Image format: JPG, TIFF, GIF
- Resolution: max 800x600 resolution @ 72dpi
- Include screen name, model, year, list of modifications and category or categories you are entering
- List the best way to contact you along with the appropriate contact info (i.e., phone, email, PM, etc.)
NOTE: Winning cars may be required to send higher resolution photos to be used in the calendar.

On or around 2/16/06, polls will be placed in the Events & Gatherings forum to allow the whole MBWorld community to vote (you must be a registered member to vote). A member can only vote once per category. A panel of six members will review all winners for accuracy. The polls will be closed on 3/2/06 and the winners will be announced at the S. California Rose Bowl meet on 3/4/06. This is a community contest and we realize that not all members reside in California so all winners will be contacted before the announcement. The results will be posted for the entire community in or around the afternoon of 3/4/06. Winners that are unable to attend the Rose Bowl meet will receive their trophy in the mail. In addition to the trophy, the winner will also receive a courtesy copy of the calendar. Proceeds from the calendar help the support the community and sponsored community events!

We are all Mercedes enthusiasts, and this is a chance to reward some of our respected members and support the MBWorld community!
