And also if anyone knows if there's any lip set available for my car? i've always prefer a subtle change.

Thanks for your help.

Previous Ride:
W203 - Lorinser kit, rims, kleeman pulley, remus
5 series - car overturned - total loss
Now: W211
W211 uses the new nano paint, which is not available outside. I'll suggest you go back tro C&C for the paint job. Nano paint is really good against swirling and minor scratches compared to normal 2K paint.

Am thinking of spending 3k a year on those Zymol natural wax packages for my Obsidian Black SLK... with the Nanopaint and CS2 (Telfon paint sealant)... are those waxing really necessary?

How about the good old System 6 from Tuff Kote?

I really like to have rain water form very tiny dropplets and simply dribble off on its own... rather than leaving ugly water spots...

Any views?

Steer clear of System 6 - doesn't work and old tech.

Spending $3K a year is unnecessary. Marine Teflon is pretty good, or could go for Glare. On top of these sealants, you should use a quick detailer to mist and remove water droplets before they dry by the sun, resulting in water spotting.

For showroom wet shine before big events, can add Zaino or carnauba wax rich wax, but these shine don't last long.

Thanks all for your helpful feedback.

Sybron - i will keep a lookout for available lip sets and keep u posted.
I dun really see much available currently, most of them recommend changing the whole bumper. Anyway, i might hafta stick to Brabus coz i juz went to change to the Monoblock S design rims ... heh`! .. couldn't resist it coz i really didn't like the stock rims.

Oh yeah, can anyone feedback if any of you experience the "Engine Check light" after installing the headers and high flow cat from Kleemann?

Cheers ~!

Where did you get the monoblock S rims, what price and what size are they?

I have the Kleeman header and sports cat fitted, no problem with engine check light, its a good idea to have a diagnostic check, maybe the computer needs to reset the parameter

Yes, they are SAs from C&C who are in charge of bodywork. I got the contacts from the MB Singapore web site. I don't know whether C&C will do non C&C cars, and whether the discount is for MBs only. Those who are interested can call and ask.

Gents,

The stock secondary cats is a pain, it suffocates the entire exhaust system....I replaced the stock secondary cats with the high flow metallic cats and the flow is awesome....high rev is incredible and the the engine has more room to breathe......

IMO, the stock cats is a junk....

I have checked that the C200, E200, CLK 200 and SLK 200 with the M271 chaiss shares the same stock cats.....

hi kepiting,

i like your car very much. currently thinking of buying either a c180 or 320i. have not decided yet but my heart tells me c180 ... either black or silver. could i check how much u pay for the cl grille and where to get it ? does the grille need to be spray painted ? how long does the grille need to be fixed up by the mechanic ?

many thanks, really like your car.

cheers, imc.

I have checked online, Kleemann is selling more than 1600 Euro at their webshop, this excludes freight and installation...Freight will be at least another 100 Euro at least and local installation will be an additional cost factor....

So when are you going to get yours fixed ?
