I've only seen a couple members on the forums from Central CA, but hopefully there are more who might be interested in having a meet. I know when I lived in the Bay Area, we had a nice little crew who would get together for lunches, BBQ's, etc., but haven't found any enthusiasts since moving to Fresno. Here's hoping I'm not the only one...

Drex talked about having a nor and so cal get together in the summer and to meet half way. not sure where the mid point would be though.

San Luis Obispo would be perfect. A few hours each way, and it's a pretty nice place to hang out.Originally Posted by NO_WUR_E

Time to change the title of this thread to something along those lines then. Originally Posted by Blake P

SLO is not a few hours away from NorCal :\ And if there was a meet that happened in SLO, I'm sure there're aren't a whole lotta people who will drive from NorCal to SLO and back the same day.
All the other central valley cities aren't exciting either(Fresno, Bakersfield,etc)... hmm... what do you guys think?

Well, if we all had ML's or G-wagons I'd say let's play in the dunes at Pismo, but with an '06 E55 it's safe to say that's not an option. There are a few nice drives up that direction if it were a ride & drive. Not a lot of MB's in the central valley.

I think SLO is a bit far too for NorCal people. That's way closer to the people down in LA area. If you were to compare it from the So Cal Point of view, we should all meet at Pebble Beach. But then that'd be unfair for the SoCal people. As far as some place inbetween Monterrey (Pebble Beach) and SLO, I can't think of anything worth mentioning.

This is in the future but might be of interst to the Central CA folks. The Western Region of MBCA is planning an event at the end of September and the meeting point is in Paso Robles. The meeting will gather cars from Northern California, Oregon and Washington as part of a caravan to the Los Angeles area to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the club.
The Paso Robles meeting is scheduled for Friday, September 29. From PR we will caravan south to Santa Monica where we will meet with the caravan that is re-tracing route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica. The claub anticipates the possibility of over 400 cars parked on the beach at Santa Monica for a photo op before dinner at several restaurants on the Santa Monica Pier.
On Saturday, we will have a private tour of the Petersen Automotive Museum as well as a private introduction to the new Mercedes Classics Center in Irvine. The evening will end with a dinner hosted at a private collectors museum in the Los Angeles area where we will be able to view over 250 cars in an outstanding setting.
Participants in this event are required to be members of MBCA and must be driving a Mercedes on the event. If you just want to come out and meet the group in Paso Robles we'd love to meet you!
I'm happy to provide details as they are available - just let me know if there is interest in this thread.

I really couldn't imagine a better midway meeting place, but it seems people have their objections. The MBCA meet sounds promising, but we'd have to become members, huh.Originally Posted by SiLvaC32
