Hey everyone the actual Bay Area Dayz "BBQ Cook Out" will be postponed to a later date. As of now everyone is invited to attend the CarLab BBQ on Saturday May 20 since it works well with everyone's schedule and we will be joined other car enthusiast there. I'm rather skeptical that the M3 and the C32 are equal cars.

The US Brochure of the M3 says the 0-60 mph acceleration is done in 4.8 seconds through BMW North America testing, but on the convertible, they say 5.4 seconds through BMW AG.

Moreover, if you look at the M3 website at the International website, the specs state 5.2 seconds.

In the US, we have a more restrictive exhaust system per CA and NY regulations, how can our car possibly be faster than the European version?

Oh well, I guess I'll just wait and find out with my own eyes which one is faster.

I don't think I gave enough credit to the M3 in my last post. I did want to add that I am a big fan of the BMW M3, I've test driven both the coupe and convertible version with the SMG transmission (I didn't want to take the risk of stalling driving a proper 6 speed since I'm not the best manual driver).

It's an excellent car, however, a tad bit tricky with the SMG transmission when used as a daily driver. Turning is odd because the car will sometimes produce a bucking/lurching sensation and then slow down. Also, the gear shifts are difficult to bear because in normal driving your head goes back and forth making the ride very uncomfortable. However, in aggressive driving, the car is supremely comfortable.

My verdict; Excellent car when you drive aggressively when you're on the open road, but if you're in traffic, prepare for transmission oddities that compromise on comfort.

Sorry, I would be remiss if I didn't add the fact that the BMW M5 with SMG (the current one) unfortunately has the same problem.

The BMW M5's seat has fans in it, much like what was first seen in the Mercedes S-Class back in Model Year 2000. But the BMW M5's ventilated seats are much louder when the fans are on.
