Sorry for the slow response. It is an 03 SL and my grandpa may be out of town. Either way, we may come in that instead. It dosent get enough exercise anyways!

 

For the MB 2005 Oktoberfest Meet at TiaJuanas 128 people signed up, and 15 said "maybe".... A final count revelead that it was just over 150 MB's that showed up. So the sign-up and show-up rate are pretty good.

I have a feeling we will bust 150 this time, easy... We don't have all the hype like last time with tons of raffle prizes, pro photography, canyon cruise, and tons of sponsors on hand... but just the variety and quantity of Benzies is attracting many many people.

The next meet I organize, will have all of the above and hopefully more.
I can't do it all by myself, so I will be asking many of you for help in certain areas. I want to continue pulling off the best MB Meets in SoCal and get to BENZ-FEST status some day.... In the meantime, get some more MB's to sign up, will ya !!!??!!!

My buddy races old can-am cars. About 4 years ago we were out breaking in a new engine for one of his Lola's and a CLK-GTR was there in Sonoma....that is one Hotttt sounding engine.

 

I will call my buddy with the limo in the morning. He just did a bunch of work to the car. I have to drive up to the mountains to visit him. I will personally drive it to the event if he wants me but then I need a volunteer to drive my SL to the event... ANy takers??? JJ

hey folks, my first post here. Im a transplant from the AMG Lounge.
Im Tom, and I was the one who went to the Irvine PD last week and secured the permit for the 20th. I have all the paperwork and I will bring it with me.
I beleive Mick (John) will meet me there early so if the PD comes around we have the permit to show them.
I have a SL55 (white with all the options) and all the Renn Tech upgrades. Putting out 601 hp at the flywheel. Just had it dyno'ed at Evosport. Whats really cool is I live 5 mintues from their shop. Tomorrow they are installing a Quaife LSD for me to help this beast on the ground and going straight.
Without the LSD it turned in a 0 - 60 of 3.8 sec running 100 octane.

Whats up?!? Decided to join in on the fun over her at MBWorld? Greta group of car nutz over here.....I may be later than originally thought because I really want to be part of the Caravans on the way down....I do have a long drive..so I thought why not have some fun....besides, Saprissa said that this should be laid back event. I did want to show up to do my parking duties and lay out the areas with Chalk but I don't think everyone wants that...and I would still need to find out how Tia J's would feel about it.

I was no trouble getting the permit. Just a little *** kissing and some "yes sir" and "yes mam" stuff. Just love dealing with City Hall

Mick , what time should I be there as "one of the first" because of the paperwork, etc ????? I have no problem getting there early.

This feels alot like the AMG Lounge, so I look forward to playing here too.
