It's ashame that we AMG guys in the Metro area cannot get together and show up to events like BMW guys do. I give big props to the many E60 M5's that showed up.They were in FULLFORCE.

Seems like all us AMG guys can do is ridicule guys like Gustav and talk about the 1/4 mile potential we have.Who cares.
These guys came out with video cameras bolted to the inside of there cars waiting to try and humiliate and annhilate any AMG that was willing to run. There was alot of talking going on ridiculing our cars which was to be expected.

Come on guys ,what the hell happened.

The M5's had a TREMENDOUS showing. Big props and beautiful machines they are.

We only had 2 CLS AMG55's,1 E55(JodyE55Rocket),my W202 C55,1 TwinTurbo AMG C36,2 SL55's, and ONE CLS E63. All scattered all over the field.

Guys we have to support each other and have fun. Not just on the internet.
The main thing is not showing up to race, but showing up to show our cars and support each other. Ton of M5's and some M6's and mad props to them!

Whoever races is naturally on his own.

I was there and very vocal about wanting to run. I actually moved my car behind them and asked if any of them wanted to run.. No one responded.. Maybe I should have put a sign on my car.. I thought I had a race lined up with an M6, but it didnt materialize.. (postponed to a later date.. real cool guy though).
Since no one in the M5/M6 crew seemed to want to race, I left. I can care less about looking at exotic cars and comparing stats.
Did either you or Jody race any of the Ms?

Steve which car was yours? Jody did not race but wanted to. It's just very very dissapointing. These guys came with there cameras so i'm sure they wanted to have some runs.
I remember seeing 4 M6's one was a white convertible,impressive! Did u hear all the murmurring and ridiculing? Guys were saying WHERE THE HELL ARE THE AMG's? Looks like I'll have to call Ahmad(Blackbenzz ) up here from Maryland. RPM racing in LI has modded a host of AMG's and I believe NONE SHOWED!

I wanted to run the black E39 M5 but did not find the owner. I'm dyning to run a E39 M5! Can't wait to goto E town!

I think I might have left before you guys moved your cars behind the Ms. I was there when they pulled in ... as a group and I moved my car behind them. When I saw their cameras I asked if anyone wanted to run.. From a standstill, rolling start, up to 170mph, whatever. Just because they came with cameras doesnt mean that they wanted to run.. I had a camera as well, and some footage to go with it. Unfortunately, there were no Ms that would run against me. Yes, they were ridiculing, and that is why I wanted to race any of them. They seemed more concerned with what work I had done to my car then wanting to race. Kind of funny as I let my car do the talking. Next week I propose we meet somewhere and ride in as a group.

Absolutely Steve! We've got to organize! I also have got to get in touch with the guys at RPM racing,they are modding AMG55k's with Kleeman stuff all of the time. There was a guy there with a low mileage blck CLS55 that just got the car three weeks ago.He also owns a GT40 and enquired about modding his car. He knew nothing about KLEEMAN. I should have given him my info.

I hope to have kooks do my headers this week. If done I'll be there next week. I'll pm you my# and we can touch base on WED or Thurs.

All I can say is I wish we had more AMG's that would have fired things up a bit more...In respect to the BMW M owners I did feel a bit bad due to the reason they talk about us if we are their worst enemies, that just created more flames within me. I had a BMW owner come up to my car and snap a pic of my car with him holding a plate saying "AMG this", he was a good sport, but as always we talk a lot when cars are not moving and standing still, *&^%^cough, M owners, cough%^&&. I had a chance to race a white M6 on my way over there, and i had the slight advantage in traffic, he gave up after a while. He looked like a very decent old man, no offense. There is a t least 6 miles of open road, you could take it all the way up to 200 MPH if you want to hehehe. Let's see what happens next week.

Not a good idea to generalize the AMG owner population.I dont ridicule any BMW's nor do I back down from any competition.Im a car enthusiast,but that doesnt mean I dont have my personal likes and dislikes.Even then I dont ridicule or talk down to people with other brands of cars.

Initially, a bunch of M5board guys were going to meet on Saturday morning in a spot not too far from my house. I planned on going. Unfortunately, the weather was bad on Saturday morning (8:00 a.m.) So that meet never happened.

Could not get out to Long Island today.

Judging by the title, I assumed that M5s outran AMGs.

Reading this thread it appears that no races have happened and all M5 crowd was good at was talking smack.

So the big question is - Who cares?
