That is something that Drex and I have already discussed. Irvine & Pasadena are not very friendly when it comes to more party-like events. I have to convince them everytime that Mercedes-Benz owners are a bit more subdued and civil. We are looking for venues, where we can do speed runs, time contests, gymkhana autocrossing, have a DJ, bikini models, drinks, BBQ, raffle prizes, tuner booths, sponsor booths, etc....... but I CANNOT do this alone. I need help, but everytime I ask, no one steps up. So I do what I can do.

Anyway, the cops were not a problem; people doing burnouts, donuts, and drifting is the problem. If someone wants to do that, then take it to the track. There's a reason I keep SAPRISSA Meets as MB events only. Once you open it up to all other marques, it pits people to want to race and compete. In an environment like Pasadena and Irvine, that is not the smart thing to do.

I told the Police that anyone who does that, is on their own, and to ticket them as they please. Luckily they left after I explained how I had permission to use LOT K, and the Events Coordinator didn't get the word, so had us move to the south-side of the chain-link fence. No biggies, just need to do things right.

My name was riding on this meet with the City of Pasadena and Rose Bowl Event Coordinators. So any violations or unfortunate events that may have occurred would of been on my head. Please take this into consideration, when I ask people nicely to act civilized, and to sign-up on the attendance list.
Besides having the effect of getting people excited about coming to the meet seeing a long list of attendess, the attendance list is also used by the City and Stadium Event cooridnators to assign us future parking spots and/or have an idea of how many people will be in a certain location. Again, I had to talk down both the City and the Stadium, that MB owners were not the rowdy wheel-spinning types. Unfortunately, someone decided that spinning donuts would be "cool" and that's why the cops showed up in the first place.

Lesson learned.

All in all, a great event... everyone please start posting pics !
I'll get my pics up here on Monday night.

I wasn't really going to say anything... Vasir, I think you're a good guy, but doing the donuts was hella stupid. Even moreso in a w140 S320. I mean it would have been cool say in Vic's car or John's or Frank's, but you shoulda seen your car doing the donuts, not so pretty and you did come off looking like a dumbass... Not to mention the cops were called b/c of you. I remember being with a pretty large group when you pulled that, I think everyone said "what a tool..." in unison.

No need to try to show off your "skillz" at something like this. It gives us all a bad rep.

I am uploading the pics still guys, I have over 130 pics, they came out good, took lots of pics, some of mostly of Vics cars but hey it's an eye candy

and we can't forget 63 AMG's ride, wow, AND you are one heck of a driver too

I mean...atleast you dont get yelled at by some old guy in a Lexus giving you lessons on how to drive

It was a great time and enjoyed meeting all of you guys.

Sorry about the old guy in the Lexus, but I knew I did not want to hear him yelling at me. Funny thing was is that I was the one that went through the stop sign in front of him. I just told him I didn't know where I was and I was following you.

Looking forward to the next time, whenever that may be!

no worries man !
I calmed the cops down and they left.

It's a PASADENA and/or IRVINE thing. Believe me, I'm looking for better venues to allow you guys to cut loose on, but it's tricky, and if anything goes wrong (accident, injury, or worse), then it's my HUGE PROBLEM !!!!
So you gotta understand why I try to keep things nice & quiet.

Dont worry about it. No matter what car did it, it would have been wrong. My car or Franks car would not have justified it any more IMO. It may have looked more cool though

Well I didn't say nothing about your burnout, I really don't think it was because of you either, as we saw guys roaring down that straight strip and peeling out from the parking lot, I still admire your bravery for blocking on coming traffic

haha no really that was the best right there, one by one just roaring onto the ramp
