SoCalEuro Event 08/11/2007 Qualcomm Stadium (San Diego, CA)
When: August 11th, 2007 (11am-4pm) Please arrive before 10am for setup (Time is based on last year's event). It is highly recommended to roll-in together if grouping is important to you.
Also, based on last year's event you may come and go as you please assuming you're not blocked in.
Where: Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego, CA.
What: The largest Euro car gathering of the year. Over 700 cars attended last year!
This event is non-competitive and just a meet but one HUGE meet. As with previous meets, there will be raffle tickets for sale and all proceeds will go to charity (Breast Cancer Research). The prizes weren't too shabby either.
It is highly recommended that you bring sunblock and other necessities. Beach chairs do come in handy!
There are currently 27 MB's that have confirmed (listed below; not all have RSVP'ed yet). Please go to http://rsvp.socaleuro.com/ to register for the event.

should we move the July SAN DIEGO MB meet to AUGUST 12th to maximize participation from those traveling down south ????
August 12th is a Sunday, and we should be able to find a large parking lot or area to host the Summer San Diego MB Meet ! Let me know what you think. People can stay after the SoCalEURO MEET on the 11th, party in S.D. and then do an MB-only meet on the 12th ! Just throwing it out so we can weigh the pros/cons.

Carlos, there are both ways to look at it but I think you'd be better off keeping it in July. Here's why.
As of right now, most of the MB folks on the list are SD locals with the exception of maybe 3 or 4 people (per the RSVP list) so the convenience factor might be a moot point.
Based on last year's event, most folks are going to be really worn out after the SCE event so doing a meet on consecutive days is going to be taxing to say the least. I know Jay, myself, and a few others will probably be actively involved in the event and Bugzy is the main organizer/MC, so we'll have our hands full all day Saturday and will probably have to pass on a Sunday event.
Unless we, all of a sudden, have an exponential increase in non-local folks sign up for the Aug 11th event, the July MB meet would be a much better idea. The meets you help organize deserve to be on their own special day anyway. Let me know if you need help with the July event.
