GL-Class Vegas Meet?
Stumble had a great idea about meeting in Vegas sometime this fall and so here is the new thread.
Sign up here if you are interested in driving your GL to Vegas sometime this fall.
Our Patron Saint (he is old enough ) Nevada Jack will personally annoint each GL in Vegas and that alone is worth the trip Well, that and I can think of some really cool spots to take some pics of a "GL Convoy".
Wonder if MB will spring for a photographer?

Oh, fine, if I can make the dates I will. Sheesh. Forcing me to go to Vegas just because I missed Memphis. And bring my GL. At 20mpg.

I can also maybe get some "strained cabbage soup" to anoint all the GL's. Make sure you have a lot of wax on the paint...I cannot be responsible for the effect of the soup on your GL's finish.

Late Oct sounds great and, yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing some 550's too
Boss - if this happens, fly to Vegas. I am sure there will be enough GLs to fit you and wifey.

So are we talking 19-21 Oct or 26-28 Oct? I know it sounds silly but if we're going to make weekend reservations in Vegas, it'd better be early!
Should someone talk about a group booking at the Venetian? Maybe getting a block of rooms, something like that? Perhaps I could get a preliminary head count based on each weekend? (Like "Two of us if it's 19-21, nobody if it's 26-28." Something along those lines.)
I know for me it's two either weekend.

I am OK with either weekend and Venetian would be great for us. Will be 4, 2 adults and 2 kids (4 years and 18 months).

Oct. 26-28th better for me. I'll explain why in a day or so.
I will not be staying at the Venetian but will "commute" since I have some meds that need attention...
It is only about 20-30 minutes to the Venetian for me depending on the traffic flow on the strip.

Count me in and the Oct. 26th - 28th dates should hopefully work for me. It'll most likely just be me.
My wife informed me this afternoon that my daughter's gymnastic meets start in mid-Sept. and run through early Dec. They are always on Saturdays. We won't know exact dates for about another 2-3 weeks, but we know there are a total of 8 competitions.
I'll probably stay at Caesar's, because I can get comped there. But, I can certainly get together with everyone at the Venetian.

Count me in...my birthday is October 27th...what a great way to celebrate (weather should be great). I recommend a convoy/drive to Red Rock.

The Tail of the Dragon? It is an 11 mile section of US 129 that runs along the southern border of the Great Smokey Mountains Ntl Park - from NC to TN (depending on where you start, of course.) It has 318 curves in those 11 miles. Upslopes, downslopes, decreasing radius turns, etc. Having made a dozen runs on it over the past couple of years at two meets, I can tell you, it is the most driving fun you will ever have.
Two fellow (shhhh) BMW friends of mine and I planned the first meet last year with great success. So, we've decided to do it again. Last year, we had 6ers from Canada to Florida attend.

Boss - is there a patron saint of Dragons who can anoint your 6ers with Cabbage soup? Think of all the fun you will miss Jesting aside, I am sure TOD will be fun too.
