AMG Photo Shoot in Georgia
Nice pics! Looks like it was alot of fun, too bad I live on the West Coast.
The red C36 is MBDragracer's car, isnt it? Only red AMG I have ever seen. Good choice, pretty rare.
DLS
you should ask Chappy how it looked in his mirrors. That C36 was glued to his bumper for quite a good while!
True dat!
Undoubtedly, MBdragracer knows how to pilot his car! Although I seem to recall a Pewter C32 doing enough fancy footwork to almost entirely miss the first turnoff!
Radios are a good thing

I never got over 120 during the day....what was the fastest that anyone else saw? :p

Remember, the start of the driving directions "This is not a race?"
I also remember a certain C32 (from Alpharetta, perhaps?) who was giving me a taste of his own grill and those ultra cool bi- xenons while diving deep into those turns.
As far as speed goes, I think Chappy and I hit very close to 140 on a very nice straight strip on highway. All I know is that I was still accelerating when I looked at the speedo which read 135.
All in all, an outstanding event for which Chappy should be commended!! Great people, great drive, great venues and of course GREAT CARS!!!!! Let's do it again soon folks.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Kudos to you for pulling all of that off with your wife in the car. Mine would have dug her finger nails in the leather.
She's good like that (not wife, but g/f)
A resounding "No Comment" on any questions related to vehicle speed
I'm glad everyone had a good time
I hope to see you all again soon!

Thanks for pulling this all together. I think is should be the forst of many more to come. I will look into a track day at Road Atlanta. It might work if we could get a group of 20 to 25.
I was waiting for a dry day for some pictures but it may be a while. The Black CLK55 has been replaced.
Here is the new toy!
Thanks again, and it was great to meet you all.
Schiznick
.......drooling........
Schiznick, congratulations on the new E55! I'm sure next time you'll be teaching us all lessons in the finer points of supercharger "bliss"
See what you can find out about Road Atlanta and let us know. I'm hoping for an even better turnout next time!

I hope your summers are all going well
I learned of a mountain drive being put together by some local BMW folks on Sunday, August 24th. I figured this was the easiest place to post since you would all be notified by e-mail. I've got a couple S/Audi buddies lined up and some others have expressed interest as well.
Details here if you want to show up....
