Willow Springs Track Lesson Event/Meet

OK, I can definitely set up a track-lesson event at Willow Springs, but it's not going to be cheap. For a Mercedes exclusive event (not combined with other schools) it would be between $300-$500 depending on the number of reservations. To rent the track it is very expensive, and there are other costs, such as insurance that would need to be added. If we could get 20 people to commit, this could work out very well. However, weekend track reseverations are booked over a year in advance, so the only feasible way to hold this on a Saturday would be to combine it with another school that is instructed at the same time. Doing so could also help save some money, since the overhead would be less.

I think that's great and all but this was supposed to be a meet. Were trying to see if we can do a meet without spending too much money. Just my opinion. Anybody else???

How about the MBWorld Lemonade Stand/Car wash? I figure we should start out small.

What do you mean by track meet? Does it mean we can race our cars and time them? If so I might be interested. If you can gather more info on it Id appreciate it.

From the Bay Area depending on how fast you're going it'll probably take about 4-5hrs. As far as equipment just bring your Benzo!

I would think 3-4 hours, and even less to get home (hard to drive slow after being on the track). A helmet is required for anyone who rides on the track.

I need to know how many people are interested, and how far in advance to schedule the event.

I really appreciate your trying to organize this event.

I would say 4-6 weeks in advance is good. I wonder how much track time and what's the cost if two drivers sharing one car.

thanks a lot.

I'll try to get Willow Springs since the track is more MB friendly. Please ask anyone who is interested so I can get an apprx head count.

Thanks.

Arrow Anythink like this at Willow Spring?

Hi Guys,

My friend told me that Thunderhill has this driving school with instructor for less than 200 bucks. I wonder if this is what we want to do. Would Willow Spring have something like this?

OK, I need a list of everyone who is interested in order to try and make this happen. It doesn't seem like we will have enough people to get an exclusive MBWorld event, so I'll likely be combining it with another one of our track days. I won't know the final cost until it's planned, but expect $300-$400.

Put me on the list, please.

It sounds like Willow Springs would be your first choice, since it seems you are involved with some other events out there. Sounds great. Maverick 666 mentioned Thunderhill. I checked out the link he gave, and it is near Willow, CA - not sure where that is, but probably somewhere in the Sacramento Valley. Hopefully not too far north.

I would suggest the track in Pahrump, Nevada. It's barely an hour away from Las Vegas, and could be combined with a dinner and show in the evening, with accomodations in one of the great hotels.

Mach430, wherever we go, I hope you can do this with at least 6 weeks advance notice.

Count me in if there's 1-on-1 instructor. And less than 300 bucks... don't have too much cash to burn I wish I had won the lottory...

I will definitely give 4-6 weeks notice, and most likely it will be around $300 (w/ instructor).

Can everyone who is interested email me at ben@evosport.com to let me know? I can keep better track of things there. Please include your name and phone number to contact you.

Does anyone mind combining it with another group?
